i tried reinstalling all the required files and removed all my other mods to make sure there's no conflicts and it's still happening but only in the sunny state. when i reset the weather it goes back to normal.
You have a conflicting weather mod, have not installed the latest NCVN, or didn't install all the mod files. There’s no other reason that would happen.
i tried using the beta version of nova city 2 and that works but when i use the latest version it happens. the only archive mods i use are: LUTswitcher, NCVN (latest version), nova city, nova LUT 3.
same here, but I found this happens often if you stay more than a few seconds in any menu like inventory or map especially, browse around in map, esc out and you get this light nuke for a few seconds and then its back to normal. Some exposure thing or idk. Video
EDIT: So for some reason in any open sunny weather spots I have very blown out colours. This is normal with no mods (left) VS just the Nova City (right). Video
I do have Night City Visuals Nulled, Dogtown too. Tried NCVN version 2.2.02 and 2.21.30. Any idea why would that be ? Am I missing to download something from this mod ? There are no archive conflicts as there is no mods installed apart a LUT.
EDIT2: OK. I have to say your weather effects look absolutely amazing. (though I still think it's somewhat bugged/not full potential) What I've done next is changed weather to rain (right) and back to sunny (left). But it's not exactly sunny anymore. Video
However, I thought the weather switcher was only for controlling the weather yourself, not sure if its a hard requirement for mod. But I went on swapping that with weathermancer anyways... and I believe its working now ? kind of ? This is full reset. Video It definitely is somewhat less blown out (left) than on the right (before/old). Is that intended sunny brightness or not really ?
I did try rain in another scene and time of day it looked absolutely stunning! Haven't seen anything as real. Anyways, my question I guess is - that sunny wheather on the left, is it intended or is it still something off with mine ? Depending if that is correct, I'm interested if the 'whites' can somehow be slightly reduced ? Just a tiny bit would do, outside it's a little too white but driving in the city it is fine.
EDIT4: Video seriously xD idk what is this. Need to investigate more after I come back from work.
make1, stop using Weathermancer and use the tools I put in required files: Weather Switcher. Not only does Weather Switcher make switching/resetting easier to do in game, it also supports my modded states and comes with a handful of other tools, one being the "report bug" button that provides a debug file to send to me with any issues and makes my life a hell of a lot easier.
I know I repeat this over and over but use Archive Conflict Checker Tool and confirm no other mods are using v006.env. If they are, remove them (don't just reorder).
As for the map bug, that's been an issue in vanilla forever. We just have to accept it. 😅
Alright, I also found out that I shouldn't be using gitshdr file if in sdr mode. that literally got rid of all the bloated brightness!
And yes Im using this weather switcher mode, it behaves a little bit differently with it I see. I just didn't understand if it was a hard requirement at first or no. The gitshdr archive file had a lossing v006.env conflict so I don't know if that should introduce any issue as it was losing to Nova CIty v006.env. But anyway I got rid of it for now as I don't think it does much even on hdr.
Everything is really tamed compared to before bright colours and it seems like it looks as intended now. I also can't exactly reproduce anymore the map-exit-light-nuke bug lol. So that's that.
When I switch on 24_weather_sky_softbox and then use the Optical Camo , my screen will be like this: https://postimg.cc/ctmTZm8p how can i cancel this effect?
Ooooh, it must be multiplying the values I set (which are all 1 or 0 to remove chromatic aberration) so I'll look into other values that work better with the camo.
Installed Nova City V2.0.1, and just had a question regarding the Rain storm weather, should the droplets/rain being going horizontally across my screen instead of from the sky? Did I make a screw up somewhere on install?
They shouldn't be going horizontally but it's a bug that will occasionally occur. I am looking into why that happens and will release an update when I find a solution. It will either pass or you can reset weather and fast travel to fix it.
Hello, sorry for the noob question. But since this mod has an important step before uninstalling (otherwise bricking your save?), I wanted to clear something up first.
I am also just generally interested in trying this mod out! But again, if it brings back Vignette effects then I can't do it. I also can't stand overuse of Bloom. Not that it doesn't look pretty, but it makes me sleepy which makes it difficult to keep playing the game (I normally disable any bloom in games if it is an option XD). Neon lighting bloom seems to be fine, but there is something about sun and natural lighting bloom that really affects me. Like a window glowing from the sunrise/sunset or a tree full of leaves glowing from the sun behind it. For some reason my body sees that and says, "ohh.. It's nap time".
Thank you for your time and your professional quality with all of your mods and packaging!
Alright thanks, it's just the sandstorm on 1.8.2 seems better to me for some reason than the later one. Still liked the latest version but during the day, the most recent version's sandstorm just seems less sandstormy, if that makes sense, more like a sand fog, maybe my settings though. Anyways thanks for the quick reply, I'll roll back. :D
Yeah, totally makes sense to revert to 1.8.2 for a single weather state. 😋
There are so many other significant changes in 2.0 like the exposure fixes (especially to first person driving) and time of day for key quests being properly lit, emissives actually emitting light, etc.
Yea I get that, but i'm using the RElux alongside amd hardly notive a difference between the two. But that could just be me. Although I suppose what I could do, is, while fiddling around in badlands, gigs and story missions + ending. I could use that one, but then once that's all done and I'm in the city mostly could revert to the other. Eh, I'll play around, cus don't get me wrong i love the newest version, I just really love the sandstorm from the old one as well xD. If there was a way to combine them. :) But still. Great work. Love the mod.
Oh no, I see what's wrong! 😅 I forgot to include the sandstorm weather state particles in 2.0's release file!
Let me fix that and see if you like that more. This is sandstorm with the correct dust particles overhead:
It's hard to see the differences when not in motion but there are plumes of smoke, dust clouds flying past the lights, and waves of sand above. I will also make a few other changes to the density and overall color and will sand the current NC2 sandstorm as an alternate state.
Granted it's not much, but the lower visibility especially really helps the feeling of a thick sandstorm. Not a major issue ofc, more just a personal thing of mine. Nova city 2 is amazing as well. It's just i prefer the sandstorms visuals in NC1.8.2 but like I said, not a major issue, I can use Nova City 1.8.2 to do panam's questline, and then the nomad ending and then switch back to City 2 for the rest of the game. Not an issue. :D Love the mod regardless.
Graphics look insane now, especially with the lighting changes, Relux+ nova city 1.8.2/2.0 is the best. :D. I mean it's possible I have a warped view lol, i.e. Nova City 2 is the more realistic, and I'm just used to 1.8.2 which if that's the case then that's fine xD.

No issues on my end. You should reinstall your mods and make sure you have all required files and no mods conflicting.

how can i cancel this effect?
I currently am using FX Begone (Full Vignette Removal and Modular Effects Options). This is the most critical mod to me because Vignette makes the game unplayable for me.
I am interested in Blind Begone (First Person Driving Auto Exposure Fix), but from what I understand, It is not compatible with FX Begone (Full Vignette Removal and Modular Effects Options), because they both overwrite the same file?
After reading comments in both mod pages, it seems like Nova City 2 (Custom Weather - Exposure Overhaul) might have both of these fixes included?
I am also just generally interested in trying this mod out! But again, if it brings back Vignette effects then I can't do it. I also can't stand overuse of Bloom. Remove any other mods using v006.env (not just reorder them). Ensure you have NCVN installed, too.

Just for reference's sake (No reshade was used),
Here's Nova LUT 2 Supernova + Nova City 2
Here's Nova LUT 2 Supernova + Nova City 1.8.2-BETA
