To anyone wishing to rebind a key, I made a small mod that allows you to do that.
1. Download and install the main mod (the current version is 1.1.1). 2. Download my small addon and install it as any other mod. It requires Input Loader. 3. Configure any hotkey you want in ...\r6\input\ComputerAnywhere.xml. By default, it's set to the 'End' button. The sprint button is no longer used.
I made the same addons for TV Anywhere and Idle Anywhere. I really hope deceptious will include this functionality by default in future updates.
EDIT 2: FIXED IT. Ok so the problem was in load order. Just rename the archive files and put "!!" at the start of ComputerAnywhere -> !!ComputerAnywhere. Now it is working perfectly fine, so thank you for changing the sprint key to something else :)
EDIT 1: NEVERMIND. I thing i broke it, now the mod doesn't work at all even after removing the addon...
Sadly for me it doesn't work. When I installed your addon, computer anywhere just stopped working, like i couldn't open it anymore. I tried pressing "END" while not moving, while walking, sprinting, right after stopping movement and nothing, so i changed the hotkey to mouse scroll wheel up, and that didn't do anything :( i even reinstalled input loader (yep, that did nothing either) I keep accidentaly opening computer anywhere with f key so your addon would fix it. Idk how it is working for other people, but for me it is not :( Maybe Im running way too many mods so it's not working (over 300 mods atm...) ? Or am i doing something wrong to open computer anywhere ? Should I do something differently ?
Thanks for making this; I was constantly accidentally opening my computer before. You could probably give this its own mod page if the original author isn't likely to add it themselves.
(initially this addon didn't work, but all I had to do was use the Archive Conflict Checker Tool to give it priority over Computer Anywhere)
deceptious, could you also add the parameter 'not sprinting' to activate the computer. Almost every time I sprint any distance and then stop, the prompt will appear, super annoying if sprinting up to a container or any interactable object and I press the button to interact but instead the prompt suddenly appears for the computer and I press on that instead.
Can't seem to get this to work at all. It was working then stopped. I removed TV Anywhere, Lean Anywhere, Idle Anywhere & Sit Anywhere. Still doesn't work with mods removed and doesn't show up as a keybind in CET. Could there be any other mods that would cancel it out or over-ride it?
This stopped working yesterday but I have no idea why. Hopefully todays update will fix it :) Thanks for the update :)
Edit: still not working for me today, I'm thinking there may be a conflict with another mod? I've used this with no issues for over a year, so sad to see it not working now :(
Anyone found a fix to reactivate this mod? I had a certain point in my game that kept crashing, disables all mods to get passed that point. Then re-enabled all mods afterwards and can't get this one to work again. I see someone else has the same problem. Any ideas?
The following did the trick for me: enter Game.GetQuestsSystem():SetFactStr("deceptious_quest_23", 1) in the CET console and visit V's apartment after that.
not working for me either. does the menu show up at all for you in H10 when you hit sprint? edit: user error, as it usually is lol. had to leave and re-enter the apartment first! try that and see if it works.
I'm sorry, what? If you use this while in a Johnny flashback sequence, what happens? Explain exactly what happens from the moment you activate this mod. You press the button and.... your computer deletes win32?

Just to clarify, you can still open it but the tabs no longer work (Virtual Atelier, Virtual Car Dealer etc).

If you Play As Johnny Silverhand and use THIS PC mod it will Remove all your DATA you done with this mod.
Also if you are Moving like with some Elevator you fall and then it is RIP.
