Heyy Cyanide! I have a problem, i am running Nova City 2 and the ripples optional file. Also Faster Rainmap from Sosuine. There are no rain particles on my screen and some of the ripples are just like blobs of water... The load order is the same as your default naming.
I don’t understand why that’s even a question. I state compatibility on both pages. In the LUT description, it clearly states it’s compatible with every mod aside from other LUTs.
in my never-ending quest to get a realistic looking game, I've been running Cyanide's mods and mostly having success. Was curious what the expectations are from rainy weather.
I find it difficult to see rain unless the lighting is just right and it's vanilla rain. Heavy rain from Nova City weather mod is very difficult to see and also has significantly less "rainy" audio than vanilla rain. The ripples are only viewable in extreme close-up or, if I am moving. Is that standard?
Posting my load order, settings and an example of rain puddles while still and while moving. Thanks for reading!

Lastly, and I'm going to post this over on the LUT page, but do y'all get an underwater-looking effect at all? It's really hard to tell in a still screenshot, but there is a continuous "movement" to my game, especially skin, like subtle shadows are dancing around. Anyone know what causes that?
I believe both issues that you describe are from Ultra Plus (or rather due to some combination of adjustments that Ultra Plus allows you to make). Unfortunately I don't have a solution aside from turning it off, but I'm sure someone in that mod's comments/Discord can make a suggestion!
That is a really good guess, as it was my video settings that were affecting Nova Rain showing correctly. However, it was because my cat stepped on the power cord and unplugged it, so I was running on power-saver battery mode, which basically turns off my video card! Stupid cat, and stupid cat owner it seems. 😅
Looks WAY better with a fully functional video card!
Thanks for the mod theCyanideX! Its the best looking rain available. Would you consider a version with slightly bigger droplets? As they look almost invisible (using DLSS 4 here, dunno if its the culprit).
Could be, I'm using DLSS and they are invisible... Might try turning DLSS off just for testing (although Better Rain Ripples do appear, although scarcely, with the same config). Weird.
Edit: yeah, the more you go up on the performance (ultra performance being the max), the less ripples will appear. I ended up bringing DLSS to quality mode, and turning off Ray Tracing (to gain some FPS). Now ripples are a plenty ;)
You mean the ripples or the rain itself? If it's the rain, have you tried Preem Rain (from the same modder, CyanideX)? To me it looks definitely better (than Nova), thicker raindrops and such... I also HIGHLY recommend this: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/8610
And yeah, if it still looks bad, bring down DLSS to quality and turn off Ray Tracing.

Does it work with Nova LUT 3.0?
Coming out of the water is crazy
