I'm using Mod Organizer 2 to keep my install folder squeaky clean. The mod works (and fantastic work, by the way!), but I can't figure out a way to change the car's color via MO2. It doesn't seem to recognize the color files in the Pack. Any suggestions?
I don't know if 'Mod Organizer 2' extracts the folder from the downloaded zip file to load, or whether it loads direct from zip/winrar...
Either way, this method circumvents both - Make your own copy:
Spoiler:
Show
1. Extract "Okrasha_Jaguar F-Type" Winrar download on your desktop.
2. Repeat with "F-Type_Colors" download - extract to desktop.
(note: use 'Extract Files' rather than 'Extract Here' with Winrar - the former keeps folder structure)
3. In your newly extracted "Okrasha_Jaguar F-Type" folder, go into : archive\pc\mod
4. Delete the "Okrasha_Jaguar_F-Type_Silver.archive" (- the default color for the mod)
5. From the "F-Type_Colors" folder you extracted earlier, pick ONE color & copy/paste into the archive\pc\mod folder (- same place as the deleted file above - replacing the deleted 'silver' with new color .archive file).
6. Repack the "Okrasha_Jaguar F-Type" folder using Winrar. (I'm sure you could use 7-zip - mod manager will recognize it).
7. Check folder structure is the same as the original mod in your new winrar file *** ( - i.e. It doesn't have an extra unwanted folder created during the packing process) .
8. Replace old file with your new one in Mod Organizer 2. You're good to go.
Repeat above steps if your unhappy with color choice - checking the pics on mod page saves a lot of time ;)
*** (NB: I don't use Winrar to pack files - sick of the 'trial period' prompts. 7-zip has an option to pack files called "add to archive" - which keeps the exact folder structure of the folder you're packing. You want to find a similar function in Winrar.)
READ FIRST! It's not recognizing because there is the default silver color file in the main mod - that needs to be deleted for another color to work. If another color gets loaded after it, it will be ignored and the silver prioritized.
You could delete the 'Okrasha_Jaguar_F-Type_Silver.archive' from the file and then load the colors mod after it , but I really wouldn't recommend it.
Hi dad. Just wanted to say that I love this car standalone mod. It feels good. It feels polished. There's lots of details. There's lots of interactions. I love the fact that the dials move when I drive the car and the brake lights. However, I noticed that. the tyre rims seem to be black is. a way to change it to make it silver. I was able to change the colour of the car to black, but I couldn't find anything else in terms of making it silver for a wheels
Gooday Sir/Maam, Sorry for posting these. ever since the first release of this car until this update now, i notice this weird collision effect where the the car hood keeps blocking the front view every time in hard collision. i really dont mind though but thought this might get this your attention.
Excuse my stupidity if this has been explained elsewhere, but what am I supposed to do if this file conflicts with another vehicle mod?. 1. Choose one of those conflicting mods and uninstall the other. 2. Keep both and have one mod load before one of the other mods, if so, how do I decide which one should load first? and what if more than two mods are using "vehiclemanufacturerfix.reds"? I assume lots will be.
Thanks for the answer, maybe would of been better to upload that file "vehiclemanufacturerfix.reds", to Nexus mods and have it as a requirement to download.
