They messed up this with the 2.11 update in February. It's very annoying to see flickering when playing with gyro aiming through steam config. I really hope someone can fix this. I am going to use this mod til that happens.
Hi, I'm on the same wagon as you (using mixed inputs) and tried several times to make a mod for the inputs to not switch. (Funny thing is that with the way I use mixed inputs, my custom software, the issue started to appear after 2.1, before only gamepad showed, the emulated mouse I use did not cause the the game to switch to K+M).
Anyway, I've looked the redscript through and through and have not found any place where the switching occurs. I've managed to force the cursor to stay in gamepad mode (using redscript), but nothing for the the button hints. As if the switch occurs through the engine itself, not the redscript. What are your findings?
I'm at a point I want to learn about red4ext and IDA to find the place in the engine and patch it. Were you able to find anything more? At this point I'm using the cursor forced to gamepad and all button hints transparent (gamepad + keyboard) not to have any flickering.
