I'm not sure how to make sense of your comment but I'll assume you have only installed my mod without installing Nukem's mod which is absolutely required for mine to make any sense on anyone's game install.
My mod is purely "cosmetic" in that it changes the "DLSS Frame Generation" option name (which shouldn't even show up on lower than RTX 40xx GPUs if you don't have Nukem's mod installed) to "DLSSG-to-FSR3(.1)" and the text description on the side.
So I'll also assume that by DLSS 2, you're referring to the Super Resolution only part of DLSS (the game uses DLSS 3.5.10 for Super Resolution if I remember vanilla's nvngx_dlss.dll versioning correctly) and when you say you try framegen 3.1, you're selecting the "FSR 3 Frame Generation" option (vanilla since 2.13) which locks the upscaler to FSR 3. Don't use that on your 3080ti, it sucks all around.
TLDR : 1) Make sure you have Nukem's mod installed. (I recommend using the universal version, red4ext variant) 2) Select "DLSS Frame Generation" if you don't have my mod installed or "DLSSG-to-FSR3(.1)" if you have it installed. 3) Select whichever upscaler you want but since you need an RTX GPU for point number one, stick to DLSS as it's the best.
Thanks! This is a nice addition to the OptiScaler mod. I'd just like to offer a slightly more polished version of the ru localized description:
Hi, sorry for the late reply. No idea how it's more polished as I'm not a russian speaker but I'll put your version in soon. Thanks for contributing it :)
I doubt you will be able to just run Nukem's dlssg-to-fsr3 mod on you GPU, might be worth a try though. If not, I guess you could try to use DLSS Enabler from Artur (linked in description), that might work for you (GTX variant).
Either way, you can install my mod but it will only be cosmetic and you need either one of those mentioned mods to get the setting my mod is renaming to show in your game.
im trying to install according to ur description and if i want to install 1, i need to install other mods for them and for them i also need to install other😭😭😭😭😭. will get it to work somehow. lets see
wait.. i was reading each and every file... and got a question. do we need the ai cores to use fsr 3.1? like we cant use dlss cause we dont have the chip so not possilbe? otherwise it wont be worth the try
You don't need em to run it but then again, the FSR 3.1 FG algo is still quite heavy for older gens GPUs so that could prove challenging. AMD officially states RTX 20xx as a minimum and RTX 30xx as recommended...
Yes. I assume that would be for using with Optiscaler/DLSS Enabler, correct ? Cause if that's so, the tooltip description wouldn't be as relevant even though DLSS Enabler does have Nukem's embedded.
Hello ! The mod for the colors itself is Sasha UI. The variant using HUD Painter (but its main archive variant should work just as well. I just like having the versatility HUD Painter provides)
One question: I've downloaded FSR3 Frame Gen for Cyberpunk 2077 (DLSS Enabler 2077 Edition), and I don't have a switcher for DLSS Generation, however, I've installed everything according to the instruction, and with your mod, I do have an option in Frame Generation DLSSG-to-FSR3.1, does that mean the mod works?
Sorry if it's a stupid question, I'm not into in-depth stuff like that
Not a stupid question but this doesn't make sense to me : My mod only changes the name of the option and its description text (so if you see them modified, my mod is working, yes). Though installing it will not make that option be usable if you don't have Nukem's mod installed (which is included in Artur's mod) so my guess would be that you didn't have everything working as it should with Artur's mod before installing mine but somehow it was afterwards.
As for telling whether it's actually generating frames, only you can tell I suppose but that's easy to check ;)
Well, it changes it regardless of whether Nukem's mod is installed or not. It's just that the option for DLSS Frame Generation isn't available if you don't have Nukem's mod installed (and you don't have an RTX 40xx GPU ofc)
You already knew it worked from earlier with your FPS dropping 50 as you mentioned. Log confirms it : create feature succeeded (though would you mind editing your post & putting the log content into a "spoiler" please ? :)
Oh that's a pity, I only asked that for the thread to be a little less dense but the log itself and my reply could have been useful to others coming here & reading. No biggie.
Spoiler:
Show
they can always just put two and two together anyway ;) and spoilers are done with "spoiler" in opening brackets and "/spoiler" in closing brackets
so im trying to get Nukem's mod to work but so far no luck, running latest version of all core mods with NO errors whatsoever however when enabling frame gen ingame it doesnt do anything, framerate stays the same, tried both red4ext version (from universal folder) AND the first main one which doesnt even give me the option to select DLSS frame gen, just amd one...
i REALLY have to get it to work because i cannot use DLSS upscaler with fsr 3.1 frame gen otherwise..its stuck on its own trash scaler
Since you can enable it, then it's installed and working (you can check dlssg_to_fsr3.log content just to be sure). But framerate staying the same is likely because you didn't restart the game after enabling it (vanilla does that since 2.13, which is super annoying). Make sure to restart after enabling FG or use TheManualEnhancer's Misc Settings Unlocker FrameGen variant to disable the need to restart the game for toggling it effectively.
I have no idea why it wouldn't work for you otherwise, sorry.
* vanilla has FSR3.0 (not 3.1), that's why it's stuck to FSR3 as the upscaler. That sucks indeed but that's how it is. Had CDPR implemented 3.1, they would still have had to enable FrameGen as an upscaler agnostic solution, which is not a given as some recent games shipping with FSR3.1 FG don't decouple it from FSR upscaling, but official FSR3.0 doesn't offer that decoupling anyway.
sadly not the case, already tried restarting multiple times while both frame gen and dlss are enabled but i still get my base framerate as if framegen is turned off entirely, very weird. used to work fine using the other frame gen mod on 2.12 (by artur07305) but from what im seeing nukem's mod is the only way to combine the two of them, my issue prolly runs deepers than that im not sure
What does your dlssg_to_fsr3.log say ? When it's working and active, it should print a line reading like this : [HH:MM:SS] [info] NVSDK_NGX_D3D12_CreateFeature: Succeeded.

I mean yeah, I think it works (?), tried to disable Frame Generation off and dropped like 50 frames.
Still trying to figure out why I can't see this DLSS switcher, but well, isn't that a charm

I'm a noob, so I just deleted logs ahah, dunno how to hide them
