you should look into making a setting to disable always doing the first equip anim every single time you switch or equip a weapon, and instead have it only on the hotkey. I mainly got this to do the safe action inspect thingy bc it's cool :D
Edit: just had a brain blast, make it to where you can toggle on and off the specific anims, and only have what you want to use. so in my case I'd turn off first equip, and BAM, everybody's happy :3 or, make 2 hotkeys, one for the equip and one for the safe action

In the mod description it says: "If you want to change the button: 1. go to "<Cyberpunk 2077>\r6\input" folder 2. open "WeaponInspection.xml" with any text editor 3. find and replace "IK_Y" with any other hotkey codes"
which I figured meant when you press Y it inspects but I guess not? I'm looking for more of a CS style of inspecting if that's possible with this. Regardless thanks for making this mod. :)
Sorry for the late reply, I also like the function you suggested, but this seems hard to achieve. And unfortunately I don’t have enough time since the latest updates. Maybe I will try to achieve this several days later.

little anecdote: the other day a guy uploaded a txt file to the nexus which didnt do anything when installed, claiming it would fix half of the games issues - it had +30 likes and comments praised the "results" - before it was taken down because it didnt do anything xD "people are retarded"
Great mod! I was looking for something like this, always nice to spam the inspection during long conversations or walks.
Can't wait to see what happens next with this mod, maybe we'll be able to make the animation run more smoothly? it feels like you're changing weapons with every inspection.
And if I may add a suggestion: Possibility of removing the camera balancing on inspection?

I really like it when weapons stay down when I'm out of combat or just walking around.
I asked the person who made "Always First Equip" if he could do this, but he completely ignored me. I would be very grateful.

Second, we have to "holding" these buttons
And when a weapon is already in hand, the animation cannot be triggered again, unless we switch to another weapon or sheathe the weapon manually.
I think this is too bulky, so I made this mod.
