Massive thank you for all the very positive initial messages so far. I'm happy if players find this useful en masse.
*insert like/comment/subscribe youtube mantra* I guess xD - or in this case, please download and give a thumbs up for endorsement, more like. (Endorsements help getting onto the Trending page, which is new mods over last x days, sorted by number of endorsements, so more players can see this mod.)
Hi, great mod thanks! Would it be possible to create an alternate version that only enables the "open door" button when the door is closed inside the stash room? Thanks again!
Amazing, I was just about to pop my top trying to get the stupid hand cursor to show up to hit the Open Door button. And then I stumbled on your mod, which is exactly the fix I needed. Kudos!
After reading the post, I realized that it is not compatible with the ‘deceptious’ Quest Core mod? If I download both, will the quest trigger of the 'deceptious' Quest Core mod be messed up?
Since nobody said anything, decided to test it. Not only that is not working if you have the Mini AV from Trauma Team game/quest ... but is not even showing the prompt to open/close (default F), am i missing anything here?
I tested with the Trauma Team AV now on my latest playthrough (started on 2.13) and it worked fine before/during/after placing and/or activating the TT AV.
However, I noticed you had the iguana hatched in your video, which I know takes ages (without mods) - this gave me the idea to load up an older save that was for a character started waaaay back when, Sep 2023, 2.0, and it's not working on it. There was one other report of this mod not working on an older save (not sure how that old that was). Finally, you iguana means that your save must be quite old as well - unless you used an iguana mod (or play A LOT to get so many in-game days in so quickly), and that would tie in with the previous cases as well.
So in short, there seems to be some kind of (rare) issue for older saves - but it should work for 99% of the newer saves (and 100% for new playthroughs of course). I'll try to resolve this, there are other priorities atm though, mainly on my Quest Trigger Fixes mod.
This save is my 11th Playthrough and has around 50 hours on it (started few weeks after 2.13 was launched) ... I know the problem (before 2.0) with older saves that were mitigated to 2.0 when CDPR specified to start a new save as lots of things have changed, so yes, i am well aware of everything (being also a modder myself). Sorry for the late replay, but i wanted to be sure that what i am saying here is true and i am not speculating, and for that ... started a new play trough using New Game + to actually be able to move freely around Night City and took me under 1 hour to complete everything and get the AV toy ... just to realize that when i put it down, the Prompt to open the door has gone (can only be open/close from the panel on your right) and the auto close function is not working anymore (just as my old 2.13 save).
Door Auto Close function or the prompt to open the door, got nothing to do with Iguana, this playthrough i didn't had it (the one that i just did the test on).
if you need proof, i can record all i just did ...
I tested it before/during/after placing and/or activating the TT AV and it works for me. (I also did not say it's related to the iguana, just that seeing the iguana in your video gave me an idea.)
Perhaps it's a mod conflict for you then? (With an apartment mod?)
In any case, if you want to discuss further, please PM me. (I will delete further replies to this in this thread.)
For whatever reason this hasn't worked for me. I looked in Archive Conflict Checker to see if it would throw up something, but there was nothing there.
If you installed everything correctly, including ArchiveXL as prerequisite, then the only way this would not work is if another mod changes the one node of mq000 quest that this mod (and many other mods using this logic, deceptious' Quest Core mod etc.) are linking into. (The node specified in the xl file.)
mq000 is a never-ending quest that is controlling persistent phases in apartments, and it's very not advised that it's changed. :/ It's used by this mod and any quest mod based on that Quest Core to have them triggered anytime (if the modder wants it) by simply visiting the H10 apartment.
Well I have an update. For whatever reason, it didn't seem to work in any existing saves, but when I started a new game, it now seems to work. Very unusual.
I can see why people appreciate this mod. It really does feel like something very odd to have removed from the game in the first place.

This mod doesn't need an update for Patch 2.21.

It's not doing anything. Everything is up to date.
It's playing now. Thanx for this mod! What was the issue? (if it's related to how this mod is set up, maybe I can add additional info in the installation steps)

Here is a video proof for that!

Any thoughts ?

I suggested another on DM. Check it out if you're interested.
