Note: We're 4 months (and 2 versions) into the new PhotoMode interface, so I have moved the Legacy files to the "Miscellaneous" section. They will remain available, but I intend to delete my 2.13 install soon so support will be lighter for those files.

This very lightweight mod corrects some issues I have with Photo Mode:

  • The vertical guidelines for ultrawide resolutions divide the shot into fourths, not thirds
  • The guidelines are a little too strong and the aspect ratio overlay is ridiculous
  • There's a lot of little thematic elements that are unnecessary and (in my opinion) distracting
  • The options panel on the right dominates almost a third of the screen
  • The input reminders at the bottom are unnecessary if you've been engaged in Photo Mode long enough to be interested in a mod like this

The changes are as follows for all users:

  • The guidelines are set to 75% opacity
  • The 2.2 aspect ratio overlay is set to 50% opacity and 10% width
  • Thematic text and logos around the guides and border have been removed
  • The input reminders have been removed
  • The options panel on the right can be reduced to 60% or 80% of its original size and moved to the top corner of the screen, depending on the file downloaded

Additional changes for Ultrawide users:

  • The vertical guides have been set to 1/3 and 2/3 (see Rule of thirds)
  • Additional guides that correspond to 1/3 and 2/3 for widescreen (16:9) have been added with an opacity of 50%

This mod only makes changes to a single inkwidget and should have no compatibility issues unless you've installed something that specifically makes structural changes to the Photo Mode interface itself.  Adding NPCs to Photo Mode does not conflict with this.
