this is a little above my capabilities, but has anyone tried to alter this mod's .ini file by deleting anything relating to motorcycles, then running the other mod (I won't name it here) that does a better job of handling bikes? Would having the other mod load in after this mod (with or maybe even without an alterered ini file) work or would they conflict and only use all of whichever ini file loads last?
And 90% of the vehicles just lose control of their asses. Also, weak ass cars like MaiMai are fast AND I DO MEAN FAST (and agile too lmao). Very unballanced settings imho.
I like Gripped Up, it makes cornering very crisp. I've never played a game that involves driving on a PC before this and it's killing me. It's so unenjoyable. There is no good way to control a car using a keyboard.
My method on keyboard has always been repeated short taps of the directional keys. This makes correctional movements far easier. Theres a learning curve to any control sceme but i have to agree that when playing driving focused games keyboard is a compromise.
I hope this method was helpfull advice for any future games.
How do I revert to default vehicle handling? It says in the mod description to delete user.ini in that file location, but I don't have a user.ini. How do I just get back the default vehiclehandling.ini? Or maybe someone could tell me the default .ini config numbers so I could just change it myself.
yeah, this mod doesn't add a user.ini, not sure why the description says that. Just delete the vehiclehandling.ini file. I'm fairly certain the base game does not have one in the same folder. That being said, if you think it'll cause issues, you can always verify files with Steam to get the vanilla one back if it exists.
for any mod, i just redownload it, and follow the path through the folders to delete whatever file it was. so for this one it would be found in engine>config>platform>pc>vehiclehandling.ini, the engine folder is found in the game directory
