I'm getting a weird bug where AR and SMG kills are giving Solo and Headhunter experience instead of Shinobi experience. I've isolated it pretty well I think - I've tried it with multiple different SMGs and ARs, and I've killed unconscious guys when nothing else is going on, and I still don't get Shinobi XP for AR/SMG kills. I'm not playing a Blades build, so this is making it really difficult to level Shinobi (the levelling from dodging/sprinting etc. is really marginal). Is it possibly related to this mod?

I'm running a pretty lightly modded game, with only about 10 non-core mods, and this one made the most sense as a culprit. I looked at the files from the mod and didn't see anything obvious to tweak. Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

This mod can't change which XP type you're getting for different weapons. You could verify that by uninstalling the mod. Are you sure that's the wrong XP types for those weapons? I can't keep them straight anymore since patch 2.0.

I definitely can't be 100% certain, but the ingame tooltip for Shinobi definitely says it's tied to ARs and SMGs.

Other mods I'm using (including some of yours) in case that might be helpful:

      Damage Scaling
      Lifepath Bonuses
      Custom Quickslots
      No More Hard-Coded Keybinds
      Status Bar Bug Fixes
      Ultimate Kill Counter
      Allow Unbound Actions
      Dodging Fix
      Quest Trigger Fixes
      Slow Firing Rate Fix

When I test with an SMG, Problem Solver, I get Shinobi and Headhunter. The Headhunter is normal because you get it for attacking while undetected, which you are usually doing at least from the start. I am using all of my mods that you listed, and I also tested while setting and not setting XP multipliers for the weapon skills.

Maybe you are accidentally using an LMG or HMG, or not noticing the Shinobi XP (or the game is displaying it long after because it's busy with other notifications), or another mod is changing it. You can check the actual XP count in the skills menu before and after some combat to be sure.

Headhunter (and Netrunner, if you have a cyberdeck ofc) is the easiest skill to level up -- so I give those the lowest multipliers (0.6 and 0.7, respectively).  Shinobi I find to be the "hardest" to level up, so I give it a multiplier of 1.0

Sidenote: I'm not sure what street cred actually unlocks anymore besides vehicle purchases, so I'm not sure if there's a good reason to slow down its rate.

It should be under "Mods" in between "Load Game" and "Settings" on the main menu and pause menu.

The mod is working fine on patch 2.21. Only CET needed an update (as it does for every patch).

My game doesn't register this mod as existing, along with the Silenced Silencers mod. Most of my mods work but there are a few that though downloaded and installed via Vortex, don't exist as far as the game is concerned since the update.

Can confirm this loads in 2.2. I didn't verify that the multipliers were working but the settings work under the mods menu. It's probably safe to assume the sticky post if correct ;)

Make sure you are checking the menu named "MODS", not "MOD SETTINGS". You need to have Native Settings UI installed.

Is it weathermancer that tells me every time the weather changes? It's a bit annoying and I can't find any settings to get rid of the pop ups.

That's not from any of my mods, but it sounds familiar, like maybe it's from a recent mod that came out. You can see your download history on Nexus.

You can't directly change the % bonus from that status effect with this mod, but if you change the xp multiplier this mod uses, it of course applies to all xp gained, and the rested bonus is on top of that.

Hi @rmk1234, I'm using this mod along with Stealthrunner with this configuration:
    0.7 xp / 0.3 sc / 0.7 skill xp
In the Stealthrunner mod, what XP values should I set to make it balanced with this mod?

    Thx!

I'm not really sure, off hand, but the values you're using are about what I've used. Stealthrunner gives you some XP, SC, and stealth xp (Ninjutsu now?), but it gives them typically in cases where you'd be missing it by not attacking enemies.

I use Damage Scaling and Balance, and have damage to myself and enemies at 4x. Does this mean, that I should increase the EXP I gain, using this mod, to get EXP rates to be like vanilla? If so, then how much. And what about Street Cred and Skills, are they also affected by how much damage I do?

I don't think this should affect any of the XP gains at all. Unless damaging enemies over their max health is counted for XP gain. This is something you can easily test yourself. I tested all of this stuff literal years ago and forget how some of it works, and I don't know if anything about this changed in patch 2.0. Previously, amount of damage was linked to damage done, so changing the amount of health enemies had would affect XP. When you change the amount of damage you do you still have to do the same amount of damage to kill an enemy, so it should not affect anything.

From what I can tell from testing, you're right, it doesn't change XP gained. I was under the impression it did, cause skills and street cred were seemingly leveling fast on my 2nd playthrough, but I guess that's cause I'm doing way more gigs than I did on my first
