    Would it be possible to tinker with this mod to counteract the weapon rarity+level downgrade bug in Vehicle Combat? Would be a lifesaver for many.

      Unfortunately not possible. This mod just tweaks the display of the relevant data, it does not change any item values.

      the only way I've found to get around the bug somewhat is download simple menu and give myself enough crafting components to upgrade the gun back to its normal self. This won't change the rarity unfortunately.

      Adding to SleepinNSnoozn's comment, you can use Wear What You Want to upgrade to your level again and change Rarity if necessary.

      Just testing this on 1.61, it still works. However the level doesn't show in the backpack, stash and merchants but it works in the upgrade and basic inventory screens.
      I'll need to check this out, will make a note of it

      Edit: fixed some Iconics not showing level in 0.2.2

    So glad I found this mod, thank for SO MUCH for making it!

    One potential defect | oversight: it does not appear to be working for the Overwatch sniper rifle. (I'd attach a screenshot, but it doesn't appear this editor permits it. Is there a preferred way of uploading screenshots to Nexus? And apologies --- first post I've written on here.)

    I checked redscript.log and saw no compilation errors, the log is below (with apologies for the spam).

    I'll also update here in case I encounter any other weapons (iconic weapons in particular) that are also not showing their item level.

    Please let me know if there's any further information I can provide, and thank you again for making the mod!

    Edit: should have checked a bit more thoroughly before posting, this is also affecting Dying Night. They were both in my stash when I installed the mod, so I tried moving them to my inventory and restarting the game, with no change (i.e., level still not visible).

      Considering the log doesn't show any errors I can't say what's wrong on first glance.
      If what you say is correct it looks to be limited to Iconic variants of weapons, I'll need to analyse things when I get the time and reinstall the game.

      Iconic weapons, or at least some of them, seem to lack a level requirement, which is probably why you can sometimes upgrade them seemingly infinitely. There's still a hard cap at item level 50, but you can upgrade iconic weapons above V's level

      As far as I could tell it was mostly working, except that the item levels weren't showing up for any of the new types of weapons or items. If that's helpful.

    Does not seem to currently work. Not sure if its an update issue. Items are not showing Level requirement.

    EDIT:  think it works now. Had to mess around in the game directory

      Either I resinstalled R6 itself or reinstsalled the mod itself and made sure it was in the proper spot. Even when installed correctly, not all items show their item levels which can be a little frustrating. I just make do with what works.

      I understand that. Im keeping it just in the case it does work on some items I use. It is a bit annoying thats its unreliable but its the only mod that shows item level. I am so surprised and disappointed that its not a base mechanic!

    I'm also getting compilation errors. I'm using Redscript 0.5.4 so it looks like your script might need another update.

    Ignore this, idiot here (me) did not actually read the error message before complaining. Error was actually caused by a different mod.

      Depends on what has changed. I'm holding off on updating my mods until I can find a reliable source of what code has changed so I don't have to black-box test it.

    What is shown is the required level of "Crafting" or just your general level as a Character? I know there are specific perks needed nonetheless. But, a mention of at what level these perks are even attainable, is something sorely missing in the crafting specs of some weps. Sometimes all it will tell you is "components missing", and only when you get the components will it also say that some perk is missing and your disassemble was in vain.

      This just shows the level of the created/spawned item so you know how many times you need to upgrade it until it reaches your level.

      As far as perks go, I believe you only need the perks that enable you to craft items of their rarity (True Craftsman, Grease Monkey, Edgerunner Artisan) for which you need to have a certain amount of points in Technical (5/12/18).
