Yes. All retexture mods still use the exact same file paths + textures no matter what version you're running. It'll work no matter what version you're using unless CDPR changes this in the future.
1st Off Great,Great Mod.ENDORSED :-) 2nd.Spent the last hour trying to install via Vortex (Where all my mods are installed).DID NOT WORK FOR ME :-( Soo Everbody, save yourself some time and install Manually as per authors instructions. Make sure the jacket is in your inventory before installing mod. Finally,a fantastic looking Black "Bad Ass" Biker Jacket. You Sir deserve wayyy more endorsements :-)
Thanks. Glad you think so. As for Vortex, I sadly don't know anything about it. Never used it myself. Mod was made and installed manually on my end too. I'll mark this post in case anyone else has questions about Vortex.
Hey EyeofCenter, you just need to build your ZIP file as though it's being extracted already in the Cyberpunk 2077 folder; archive\pc\mod\<archivename>.archive, you've done Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod\. Easy enough to fix.
Just curious - how did you get body to stop clipping when wearing shirts underneath these coats? These are by far my favorite type of coat in the game, but literally every shirt that I wear underneath my body clips through and it looks terrible.
Mod still works fine on my end. As long as you have Material and Texture Override installed, everything should still look just like it did in the screenshots.
Phantom Liberty changed something and all texture mods stopped working for a bit. Material and Texture Override just got an update today. I just tested this and everything works fine now. Because some users have had problems with this in the past, make sure you install the "Legacy" version of Material and Texture Override (or whatever the one where that .archive goes into "archive/pc/mod" is called). There's no reason this has to be installed with REDmod.
also i know it doesn't needed to be installed with redmod. i don't f*#@ with redmod for the main reason that having redmod enabled at all will mess up my game
Okay this is weird. I'm putting the material and texture override into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod same with your file. and it's still showing up as the original texture. not sure why it's being so complicated lmfao. ain't no reason it has to be. post below says your mod works fine so ik that's not the problem.
I'm using the same mod right now and it still works. It hasn't needed an update in over a year now, so it's nothing to do with this mod. I don't know why Material and Texture Override causes so many issues, but if it's not working for you then just delete both this mod AND Material and Texture Override from your game folder. Go and redownload both mods and install them BOTH to "archive/pc/mod."
Don't ever install Material and Texture Override into REDmod. Even the creator of that utility has finally acknowledged that causes issues and is telling people to do a Legacy install. Start fresh and it should work. If it still doesn't work, then there might be a permissions issue which randomly stops all mods from working. There was also a time where mods would stop working until you restarted the game. Keep these things in mind if it still doesn't work.
I don't use RedMod at all. I don't use any mods that require it. I actually bypass the regular launcher altogether and launch straight from Steam. I have many clothing replacer and add on mods. Not sure why I can't get this one to work. I manually install all my mods. Ah well.
Cyberpunk 2077\mods OR Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod
I followed these steps and I'm getting 0 results: - Cyberpunk 2077\mods\Material and Texture Override\archives\###_nim_material_override.archive - Cyberpunk 2077\mods\Material and Texture Override\info.json
Copy the .archive of that mod into Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod. The author insists you have to use REDmod (Cyberpunk 2077\mods), but Material and Texture Override sometimes just stops working in REDmod. There's no reason I can think of that Material and Texture Override has to be run from REDmod.
with the info.json in the same folder as well as inside the \pc folder and I'm not seeing any changes. I'll remove both info.json files and let you know what happens.
Cheers.
*no luck with any changes when removing the info.json files, but I feel like they're important since it's java related. Lol.
There's no reason it should be this complicated. Usually, you download Material Texture Override, copy it's .archive into "Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod" and then do the same with this mod. The ".info.json" is only required for REDmod purposes. It has nothing to do with functionality.
Just tested it right now and it works. You should be getting a black texture. Doubt this needs to be said, but REDmod didn't exist back when I made this and there's no point in remaking this for REDmod. So make sure you're installing it to the traditional path like it says in the description and NOT the REDmod folder.
Perfect :) Thanks for doing this and sharing! The style of the coat in the game is so good, but dang why didn't they ever give us an all-black version in the base game?! This is so good and it works perfectly.

kinda has me wondering if the author of textures override mixed up the two files lmao
Having some issues getting the modded coat to appear in-game.
Does this CYBERPUNK 2077 TEXTURE OVERRIDE file go into:
Cyberpunk 2077\mods OR Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod
I followed these steps and I'm getting 0 results:
