This isn't a real mod, it is an AutoHotkey file (it's 3rd party).  In essence, it moves the mouse a few pixels every 400 milliseconds or so, in order to prevent the auto centering.

So, to answer your question, yes.

hello, I use this script since long, I love it and I really thank you for this, however since the new update I noticed the movement is more evident so I am wondering if it is possible to edit it the way that the movement is even smaller, I mean instead of 1 maybe 0,5 is that possible in your opinion?

Not to be disrespectful to this mod's author at all but this is a very archaic approach and pretty much abandoned since December.

The new way to disable camera autocentering is flawless:

You're right - that one is an actual mod and not just an AHK script. I'll leave this mod on here just for posterity, but that one is better.

Just want to say this works very well. Even jumping back and forth between kb/m for on foot and controller for driving.

There is one weird bit of behavior. I'm using the .exe and when I pause the game and alttab out to use a browser window in my second monitor the mouse is making tiny little upward left skips as the exe continues to run. It does not do these skips on the main monitor though when alt-tabbed.

Not a complaint. Just thought it was kind of funny. Easy to work around.

Thanks for the mod/script/exe whatever you're calling it.

You're welcome. To avoid the mouse still moving when alt-tabbing to something else, be sure to push MMB again in the game to disable it, then you can alt-tab out.

Thank you very much for this, it's a brilliant fix to one of the major things that irked me in this game.  Works like a charm, with one caveat.

I have a huge favor to ask.  I'm using the EXE version, and ran into a problem.  I forgot to turn it off in game before quitting the game, and the only way to get my mouse to act normal again is to restart my computer because I cannot get the mouse to sit still long enough to click on anything ... I can't even single click on the cyberpunk game that's pinned to my taskbar.  I'm begging you, would you PLEASE make a version that can be activated/deactivated outside the game too?  I doubt it matters from my knowledge of how autohotkey works (I've used it for a few other reasons in the past, but much prefer the clean EXE option that's pinned to my taskbar as well), but I'm using windows 7.  This would be a humongous help.

If you are outside the game, you should see a red "H" icon in your taskbar. Right click on it and click "exit" or "pause script". If the script is still running, it will be a green "H" icon.

Be sure you are pressing middle mouse button (clicking in the mouse wheel) to turn it on.

Already did, what it did was it recentered the camera as if it wasn't already annoying enough

Sorry folks I don't know what to tell you, it works perfectly for me and apparently for many others. All I can say is try the EXE version, make sure you have the red "H" icon in your taskbar to show it's running, and press middle mouse to activate the mouse movement. What you have MMB bound to in the game shouldn't matter, as AutoHotkey will override it.

The only thing I can think of is maybe non-Steam versions of the game have a different window name when the game is running? The script is programmed to only activate if a window named "Cyberpunk 2077 (C) 2020 by CD Projekt RED" is running, which is the window name of the game as I see it.

But it's a very strange window name, and I wonder if next patch they'll update it to 2021 which would then make the script not run...

If you think this is the case, then you can download the script version and the AutoHotkey program, then edit the script to match the name of the window of the game, or delete that line entirely (which would then however override your MMB usage in Windows and all games while it's running).

Just click the red H icon and then uncheck "Pause Script", that fixed it for me.

I am already running 2 other AHK scripts successfuly... one is a toggle key to have left CTRL make you walk and another is a toggle key to have right ALT make you autorun... but when i add this script underneath those two it just doesnt work.  middle button just makes it go back to centered.  I'm running the gog versoin and the winactive name is the same as the other two which work.  maybe this doesn't work in conjunction with other scripts? i can't imagine why... heh. Only other mod i'm using is the third person perspective new mod to cycle through different views by pressing 'b' along with cybertweaks.  would love this feature...  the autocentering drives me nuts when i want to look around at the city and drive from diff angles.

Try pasting this mod's code BEFORE your other scripts, and see if they still work. It may have something to do with it pausing and unpausing.

excellent! that did it... placing the script in front of every other script seems to have gotten it to work. maybe its something to do with the fact the other scripts are toggle functions, duno.  thanks :D great mod

well... i ran into another bug with it, might be some other kind of conflict with other mods, perhaps the TPP one... I noticed that while it works, it starts to jerk the screen when enabled.  Like, the screen will move up/down side/side a tiny bit every half second or so.  disabling it fixes it.  Since the TPP mod is really raw and glitches out alot i figure it might be conflicting with some of that.  anyway, will keep messing around with it cheers

To the people that complain about the camera jittering in game or jerking around a little bit, it's supposed to do that. What the script does is take control of your mouse so that it makes tiny camera movements so that the camera does not default to autocenter state ... a clunky but effective workaround for the problem until the camera setting can be turned off via another mod, .ini or .xml edit, or the option is implemented by CDPR ... Which will most likely take a long time from now.

Also, I'm not sure if this is the case or not, but it might also be tied to mouse sensitivity just how noticeable the effect is.

ah. i see. that makes sense. hmm... maybe if it didn't do it as frequently or something... i mean it takes about 3 solid seconds for it to recenter but the jittering to keep it from centering happens every half second or so...

I haven't looked myself to see how extensive the code is, but there's no reason that the script can't be edited through the autohotkey program functions that I'm aware of, long as you find the variables.  I think the GUI has those values for each keystroke being registered by the script.  It's been a while since I've last operated the software so my memory's a bit rusty.

yep. editted the value from 50 or whatever it was to 2000 and it is much better. can't seem to lessen the amount of the screen it moves/jerks as 1 and -1 are the lowest values i guess, but having the timer set to 2000 is way less annoying for me and still does the job of preventing it centering. great mod

Exactly, thanks. People should read the description more carefully. That's why it's a TOGGLE mod, so that when you leave a car you can press MMB again and not have camera movement the rest of the time while you play.

Yes, I used to have it higher too. But that doesn't work for first-person driving, where the camera return is more strict. The number I have it set at is the maximum amount that will still prevent first-person driving correction.

Prior to, as I recall, CP2077 v1.05 there was a bug causing the game to ignore all virtual inputs, making AHK's inputs get ignored as well.

Son of a B****! It actually works!
But once you notice the small mouse movements...you can't unsee it.
It's like trying to make your heart beat manually. It will drive you insane.
    Great work, though.
