Apologies to anyone who's been asking for an update. It never should have taken this long. I was working on a bunch of different projects I was planning on releasing, but something came up and I've been out of the country for nearly a month. New mods coming soon. Stay tuned. -EyeofCenter
The black texture still works in my game. This is a problem that's come up before and it all has to do with Material and Texture Override. Despite what it may or may not say on that mod's Description page, it sometimes just stops working when you install it via REDmod.
There's no reason I can think of that Material and Texture Override has to be run via REDmod. Just copy the .archive for that mod into the traditional "archive/pc/mod" folder and save yourself the trouble in the future. I'm updating the description and pinning this for any future reference.
Hi, just wanted to give some positive feedback. I also had the problem that the coat was brown, but with Material Texture Override this was fixed easily.
So for anyone struggling, easiest way is to just copy the files into the folder manually - the coat and the LEGACY override which can be found via Search of this website. Works like a charm.
Thank you so much for this mod. I can't understand why the developers have left such an important part of Cyberpunk out of the game still, the long trenchcoat look is like an archetype of a cyberpunk character and should have been an obvious one from the get-go!
Thanks for the kind and helpful words. For anyone who reads this, MAKE SURE you install Material Texture Override into the LEGACY "ARCHIVE\PC\MODS" directory. There's absolutely no reason this mod has to be installed in REDmod - and the creator of said mod has even acknowledged that the REDmod installation has screwed a lot of people over a lot of times. Just avoid the hassle and copy it into the Legacy folder.
if you're having trouble with the sleeves but cant use the fix someone mentioned in the comments, you could also use an older version of this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/6195?tab=files&file_id=32666 it does not work on female v though
I put a ,archive file Better Timeworn Trenchcoat-6195-1-4-1725047229 into ARCHIVE\PC\MODS and it's brown. Ugly and dirty. I wish this version of the coat simply didn't exist
Presumably this only works with the vanilla female/males (and not for example with the VTK Angel body mod for females or the Gymfiend mod for males)?? If so, what would I have to do to get it to work, what kind of editing? (Any pointers greatly appreciated, might make a neat little project for me to learn to mod! :) )
theres a rather big amount of clipping most in the back and so little youy cant see it in game but it would be very great if this worked with the sweaters from base game and mabye equipment EX bc i like to use a cowboy shirt paired with it
Bro, I recently just installed this mod but the texture of the coat does not match the arms, for example if I am holding a weapon the sleeves are either too high or too low on the arms, any solution?
Unfortunately the forearms appear outside the sleeves when holding your weapon (same as others have posted screenshots for). Looks great otherwise sadly too distracting to be usable the arms outside the sleeves.
