It depends on how that mod is changing the ratios. If that mod modifies the car data files it should work as this is using that data to then adjust everything.

No guarantees. I will test it and get back to you.

I took a look and the other mod doesn't touch the functions just the LUA's so guessing it should be fine. honestly they might actually compliment each other.

Not conflicting per se, but it's definitely affecting the physics at least on my end. With CVO Gear Ratio Rework installed alongside this I get a top speed (with accurate speedometer installed) on my Kusanagi of a little over 160mph. With just CVO Gear Ratio Rework installed I get a top speed of just over 200mph. Oddly enough, with CVO Gear Ratio Rework installed and the standalone version of this mod which suggests it's just sound changes, I get around 215mph top speed!

Giever - It will affect physics as the speed and rpm is to some extent tied together. I had to modify some of the speeds for each gear since excluding the bottom range of the rpm actually lowered the car speed because it got less "range" to accelerate on top of. I am working on v0.9.2beta that will fine tune this more. My goal is to keep the speeds consistent after the rpm changes take effect. However, this can be tricky with other mods manipulating the gear ratios. I use no hard coded values for rpm, only focusing on relative changes to make it more compatible.

One of the characteristics that became apparent is that maximum rpm is not always maximum speed.
The vehicle can sometimes still accelerate beyond maximum rpm.

Edit: I found a bug that might fix this alltogether :)
      Edit: Version 1.0 released

It's extraordinary how much this improves the driving experience! It's like the missing piece of the puzzle that ties everything together. This, Erok's tweaks and the no camera cantering mods are all a person needs to get to something approaching an actual driving game

Marvellous! Thanks so much for sharing it with us.

Yes that's the one! Still getting used to these red MX keys lol.

'No cantering' would be more of a Witcher thing wouldn't it.

This is breathtaking. It's amazing how a simple audio mod changed the whole driving experience.  If only CDPR knows downshifting exists and not just go straight back to gear N...

Thank you for your comment! If you accelerate and then let the vehicle coast and engine break without breaking it will shift down trough the gears.

Edit: I guess you mean that the rpm instantly dies when you hit the breaks.

  5. YO!   It's CHOO2 brother.  Concentraited Ethanol...  As fuel.  The engine runs cold.  Doesn't get hot at all.  The exaust is hot sure.  But this works similar to nitromethane, and since these are 428 HEMI or BOSS 429 engines; 32 valve versions... It's basically TOP FUEL!!!  Only the engine doesn't damage itself or explode.

When the CHOO2 burns it releases oxygen; which means it can burn more ChOO2.  It's basically moonshine, but very concentrated.  Moonshine that is refined into a concentrated form of ethanol.  It means more boost on superchargers/turbochargers.  More advanced timing.  We can take way more risks with these engines.  That's why we can make more horsepower/torque than we would ever need.

These engines are not tuned.  They are de-tuned.  Because it can make way more power than we need.  2,500 to 5,000 horsepower.   Way more than anything else you have even ever seen.  So how you going to say what that gearbox sounds like when it's a $18,000 sequential gearbox that is electronically shifted.  It's basically a manual transmission that shifts itself.  No shifter.  You can still get paddle shifters though.  I'm not sure why anyone would bother.

I mean: if you told me you doubled the mass for every vehicle, and doubled the horsepower.  Then setting your "good sounding game car sound"  sure.  But I feel like the value here is being missed.  What CP77  is in it's pure form based off CP20 or CPRED.  CP07  That history, as it is in CP77.  So maybe the answer is in the mechanics of the situation.  Ethanol is a totally different ballpark than gasoline, diesel, or even
    Nitromethane.

But sure.  It's all good when a bunch of kids get to have their cake, and eat it too.  I'm just saying.  Don't be afraid to reach out into the darkness.  It's the only way to discover what is out there that we can pull into the light; because it was greatness discovered.  That's all man.  What you think Cyberpunk is, and what CP07/CP20/CPRED/CP77 are; are many different things than what you might want, what you might expect.  That's where we are brothers and sisters.

We are at the begining of a new age...

    Good Luck,

    SMSTO

Thank you for that comment, it was a nice and interesting read.

To some extent the lore explanation in my head was something similar to that considering the materials available, up until the point I realised it could be tweaked/fixed. Gearboxes are still gearboxes. I think Koenigsegg shows progression for our universe. Their next fuel focus is Vulcanol.

With the way CDPR coded the gear changes, the sports cars sound nothing like how sports cars should: higher revs due to ideal power band being higher in the revs. It was a major thing that always bugged me with the cars.

Now someone just needs to make a modded manual transmission and I can truly live out my petrol-head dream in CP2077. lol

Haha! It is a bit wierd that all of this is a problem to begin with considering the promotional material pushed CDPR themselves as being comprised of petrolheads driving sports cars and them performing recordings of real cars - also together with Keanu and his bike brand.

I wonder how complicated it would be to add manual gear changes.

Thank you! Also working on the other problems. First step is to recreate this fix standalone without the changes to Vanilla driving mechanics coming from the required mod. Then I will move on to other fixes.

Slingshooting is much more complicated to adress, but eventually it should be able to be fixed easily. Once I get how the mechanics function together. It will be fixed first either in conjunction with the required mod or expanded from a standalone version of this. Likely to take some time. Please be patient.

Found this video for how it sounds without the mod... Sorry, but it is awful.
