ReShade note: the dxgi.dll used by DLSSTweaks can be renamed to winmm.dll instead if you want to use dxgi for ReShade or any other DLL mods, XInput9_1_0.dll might also work for it too.

Ray Reconstruction note: 0.200.7-beta4 appears to allow changing the scales used for RR (eg. allowing to force DLAA with RR active).

Some users have reported issues with RR being disabled by the game, or denoisers becoming broken, I haven't been able to reproduce those issues myself yet, they may have been caused by which method was used to load DLSSTweaks into it.

The ZIP provided here appears to allow tweaks without breaking anything, at least on my end, but I'm unsure how it'll work for others, please let me know if you have any issues with it!

(it may be worth switching the games 3.1.1 nvngx_dlss.dll to the 3.5 version too, I'm not sure why they've mixed different DLSS versions together in v2.0, check Techpowerup for the 3.5 download)

    Previous post:

0.200.6 brings quite a few changes, unfortunately couldn't link to changelog on downloads page because of some silly text size limit, but you can find full changelog here: https://github.com/emoose/DLSSTweaks/releases/tag/0.200.6

Biggest changes are probably the new ConfigTool, support for specifying resolutions directly, and a tweak to override sharpening level in pre-2.5.1 DLSS, bunch of minor issues were also fixed with it too.

The stuff around OverrideAppId also had some changes, found a new method which should mean OverrideAppId isn't necessary for changing DLSS presets any more, still included the setting for it just in case new method has any issues but I haven't seen any problems with it yet, could probably just remove that now really.

I can't get the dlss hud to show, I've tried renaming the dll and also other dlsstweaks versions but it didn't work. I also replaced the dlss dlls with last versions (3.5) but the hud still won't show. Any idea why? I'm using RT with RR and frame generation, hdr, and basically all settings maxed out.

Hey, I was trouble trouble getting the DLSS hud to show as well. You can temporarily disable Ray Reconstruction then the HUD will show up. Hope this helps!

EDIT: I managed to fix the smearing/boiling effect. What I did was replacing the current nvngx_dlssd.dll with the one they shipped as Phantom Liberty patch 2.01 released, and now the artefacts are almost totally absent. I hope it helps anyone who was facing the same problem.

    Link: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-3-ray-reconstruction-dll/

    Hello there,

I am experiencing a lot of denoising artefacts when trying to modify the res upscale from the original one with ray reconstruction enabled. It doesn't happen everywhere, mostly in scarcely lit areas. Best place to test is the Totentanz. I am playing with DLSS Q and res upscale set at 0.85, but anything different than the original value will produce these artefacts. Disabling RR or res upscale brings everything back to normal. I am using the provided dlls which came with update 2.13, also tried preset C which didn't solve anything. The latest version of DLSSTweaks didn't solve the issue. If it means anything, I am using Reshade along with DLSSTweaks (I renamed the DLL to xinput...).

Is there anything I can do?

    My config:
    13600k
    32GB RAM
    4090
    QDOLED 3440x1440
    Win 11
    nVidia drivers version 560.70

If you are referring to DLSSTweaks, there is a more recent version here:

What exactly do the denoising artifacts look like when forcing a higher res with ray reconstruction? I'm using 0.77, but I haven't noticed any artifacts. Is it just noise everywhere?

Is anyone having trouble since patch 2.2 ? Its like dlsstweaks doesn't get nvngx since no log file is being created. Since i got red4text (i believe) as a mod i cannot rename it to winmm.dll like explained in the ini file.

Tried to rename as dxgi.dll, and a log file finally appeared, but problem is now that cyberpunk launches himself (since i can see it in the task manager) but is at 0% and just doesn't do anything so i have to end task everytime.

Does anyone have any solution ? Thanks!

You can try just switching the DLLs without using DLSS tweaks as they use the default profile (correct) anyway, but it looks awful for me on 2.2 with the smearing you mention. Switching back to default dlls now to see if that fixes it.

I remember installing an older version like a year ago. I decided to replay cyberpunk, after the most recent patches and switching to dlss 3.7/3.8 it feels like I'm getting some lower performance and some smearing effect. I'm using reshade as well as LUT. I haven't been able to isolate the issue but I'm guessing it may have something to do with this mod.
    How do I uninstall it?

I think after installing and unstalling this mod the game doesnt let me enable ray reconstruction. Its greyed out. If i change the dlss preset it stops from being greyed out but then if I click on the button it goes back to grey again.

English is not my first language, so I am using a translation service.
I apologize if the text is awkward.

I have installed DLSSTweaks in "Cyberpunk 2077".
I changed all presets to C, set OverrideAutoExposure to force enable and Save.

However, when I started the game, DLDSR became unavailable (my monitor is FHD, so I was using DLDSR to render in WQHD and then downsampling to FHD).

I can check the DLDSR resolution checkbox in the NVIDIA Control Panel, but there is no WQHD resolution option in the game's graphics menu.
Is this always the case when DLSSTweaks is installed?

With FHD, the screen feels coarse, so I gave up on installing DLSSTweaks, undid the changes I made, saved again, and then deleted DLSSTweaks from the folder.
But this time I noticed that DLDSR was disabled not only in "Cyberpunk 2077" but also in other games (such as "Division 2","GTA 5").

I tried reinstalling the Nvidia drivers, but no improvement.
Perhaps I have changed some important setting, but I have no idea.
Does anyone know the cause or solution?

      Hello,

Did you by any chance create a custom resolution in the nvidia control panel and if yes, are you using it on the desktop? Doing so disables DLDSR. It's either one or the other. Also, make sure you are playing in exclusive full screen mode (not borderless or windowed).

If the above did not help, try uninstalling the nvidia drivers using "Display Driver Uninstaller" (DDU) in Windows Safe Mode. Remember NOT to be connected to the internet (cable/wifi) as you restart or Windows will install its own video drivers. In DDU's options, make sure that any customized setting you chose in the nvidia control panel are NOT kept as you delete the drivers. Then, reinstall the drivers as usual.

      Hope this helps.

      Thank you for your comment.

I did not use custom resolution and had selected full screen mode.
The last time I rebooted after uninstalling the driver with DDU, I did not disconnect the internet.
I tried it immediately and the situation did not change.

However, after reinstalling the driver, I noticed that I had always turned on “Integer scaling” under “Adjust Desktop Size and Position” when I was re-configuring the settings in the control panel.
I was somewhat curious, so I changed it to “full screen” and then started the game.

As a result, I was able to select the DLDSR resolution in the game settings!
I had been setting it to “Integer scaling” recently. But DLDSR was never disabled.
This was a blind spot. Was there a change in the recent driver update?

As it turns out, the cause had nothing to do with DLSSTweaks.
I apologize for wasting your time with a question that was off the mark.
However, thanks to your comment, we now know the cause.

      Your kindness is greatly appreciated!

Heyy, can smb explain a few things to me please ?

    1. 'should have about the same performance as playing without DLSS enabled, but with the bonus of applying the awesome DLAA anti-aliasing on top of it'
This sounds like it applies DLAA together with DLSS which would be cool but I really don't think that's possible ? This also contradicts with a few lines above saying 'If you just want to force DLAA, enabling the ForceDLAA option can make all DLSS levels act as DLAA instead, rendering at full-resolution with DLSS applied to it.'
What this sounds like is that it just replaces all DLSS presets into DLAA but what's the point of this if the settings is just once click away in game ?

And then reading this again 'If the performance hit from ForceDLAA is too high for you, you can also tweak the scaling ratios of the existing DLSS levels to allow getting a slight quality increase, without the full perf hit of using DLAA.'
This again reinforces the idea that DLAA works together with DLSS.

    seriously confusing! :D

    2. Also I've tried using default dxgi and renaming to smth else, it doesn't seem changing DLSS presets works for me in the game, tried with both 3.5 and 3.7. OverrideDlssHud=1 tried also but I didn't see anything in the corners unless maybe I just missed it but it seems like it does not work at all for me ?

    3. 'It's recommended to use this with DLSS 3.1.1, so that the DLSSPresets sectioncan be used (2.x should still work fine, but DLSSPresets won't have any effect)'
This kind of goes with 2, so does it only work with DLSS 3.1 or any other version is okay ? I can see it was mentioned it could be switched to 3.5 version too, but like I said nothing works for me it seems like :/

Doesnt work. DLSS Quality Levels > Enable = True, and the HUD is showing in the corner so I can see what resolution it is actually using. But no changes to the quality level's scale has any effect (e.g. "quality" is always 0.66 in game, it saves the variables I enter in the program but they are ignored in game.
