Today I am releasing version 1.2 of the mod! It works with Cyberpunk 2.1 but sadly the performance gains are lower than the original version. It still can bring signficant improvements but its not literally 2.5/3.0x the performance anymore in some circumstances.
Total performance:
GRAPH FOR PRE CYBERPUNK 2.1, I might update it at some point: RTX 40 series has not been tested fully, once tested I might update this:
Pre Cyberpunk 2.1 perf: Nvidia 30 series: up to 175% gains! Nvidia 40 series: over 130% gains (possibly 150-170% on performance but not all versions have been tested) AMD 7000 series: up to 260% gains!!!!
Post Cyberpunk 2.1 perf: Nvidia 30 series: up to 40-80% gains sporadically AMD 7000 series: up to 150-200% gains sporadically
OLD PRE 2.1 VERSION COMPARISON of Stock(No mod), Ultra, Balanced, Performance and RT Ultra without Overdrive on a 3060ti: https://imgsli.com/MTc2NzA2
I need to update some stuff other than the mod, but generally its working, sadly its not as good as pre-update
Did a comparison between the mod and stock on my 3060Ti. I gained about 10fps near the cherry blossom market at 1080p DLSS balanced, going from 30 to 40 fps. Stock:
I am confused, it's not improving any performance for me, and I am on a 3050, is there something that I should do after choosing a certain file like for example choosing DLSS balanced with the balanced version?
hi im not ritch so my hardware is not the best..but would that mod work on my 4060 with a 5 3600 32 gb ram... and maybe someone could tell me what i should change when i have the money the cpu or gpu ? thank u :)
Hello there ! I previously had a RTX 4060Ti so in terms of compatibility, I can confirm it works. Pretty well in fact. But in terms of performance. I won't be good reference since the non-Ti 4060 and Ti one aren't on par. Concerning your potential upgrade, I would go for the GPU first. Nothing that's not a TI or Super version for Nvidia, and nothing that's not a XT or XTX version if you switch to AMD. Btw, look for second hand since the RTX 5070 and RX 9070 came out recently and some people will get rid of their RTX 4070/4080, RX 6800, etc. As for your CPU. Ryzen 5 5500 is a really good budget option. Or better, a Ryzen 7 5700 but slightly more expensive
Why do you have "RESTIR GI" disabled on every preset? Is the performance impact really that bad? It seems to have a big visual impact. I have been using just the 1 bounce and 1 ray option, but I removed all the other lines and set RESTIR GI to true. This seems to give the best balance between visual and performance. Disabling RESTIR GI get me another 5 to 10 FPS but it doesn't seem to look as good to me.
Been using it for a few hours into my playthrough and works exactly as advertised with Path Tracing, even on my RTX 3060ti. Staying above 80FPS, 99% of the time combined with the DLSSG to FSR3 mod.
However, I did noticed quite a bit of framedrops and hitches... I had chalked it up to "Oh, its my GPU, I AM RUNNING Path Tracing on a RTX 3060 TI"... HOWEVER... turns out it wasn't that nor the DLSSG to FSR3 mod. What helped me COMPLETELY get rid of the ANNOYING framedrops of like 10FPS that happened for like half a second was turning off "Control Flow Guard" for Cyberpunk.
I wouldn't recommend turning off CFG entirely but instead making an exception for "Cyberpunk2077.exe". Go to the Windows search bar and type "Exploit Protection". At the top click "Program Settings" followed by "Add Program To Customize". Click "Add By Program Name" and enter EXACTLY "Cyberpunk2077.exe" and click add. In the new window scroll down to about 1/4th of the way down and locate "Control Flow Guard (CFG)" and check the box next to "Override System Settings" and move the slider from "On" to "Off" and click apply. Should be it.
It helps me with ALOT of DX12 games, for example, Hogwarts Legacy and others. When you click on "Add By Program Name" just type the full .exe file name. Test it out and let me know your results.
This seems like a placebo; I turned this off completely and turned it on again to add Cyberpunk2077 to it's exceptions and there was zero effect on the FPS in either case.
So what ive found is, if i see 60+ fps and it doesnt drop at all but my 99% fps is going anywhere from matching my main FPS to sub 10 then you are reaching your max VRAM. You can open up task manager to check but i would only rely on that check for the first time because it doesn't seem like task manager checks VRAM usage dynamically. When i am close to max vram simply swapping weapons creates a micro stutter that only compounds if you start switching fast or are in combat. THis game has a serious issue with how much VRAM it requires to just run the game at 4k let alone trying to use ray tracing. I was at 1440p (the 21:9 version so its a bit more demanding) with optimized settings suggested by Hardware Unboxed and my vram was floating around 9 GB which is f*#@ing insane. Mind you i tested that in an area that wasnt even demanding. I built my PC for playing this game at 4k ray tracing and boy are my specs way off the mark to attempt that and maintain 60+ fps. I have a 3080ti with a ryzen 7 5800x3d. I think baseline this game needs a card with vram in the 20s
Dude...this fixed the random stutters I would get in the game! Never had this issue before and I wanted to rip my hair out trying to figure out what it was. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for these tips! Can I ask as a fellow 3060ti user, how the heck are you getting +60fps? I'm struggling to get a solid 30 with PT enabled and dlssg to fsr3.

Can totally depend from system to system maybe? But I can guarantee it did indeed minimize the framedrops for me!
You can also check reddit for other post from other people saying it makes a difference. Can also vary from game to game aswell.
