If you are playing v1, "'Tis Better to Have Loved and Lost" requires the standard Cure Poison spell to summon the nobleman's wife. I forgot to include that in the letter or journal entry.
v1.1 changes it to Balyna's Balm and includes the spell name in the quest log.
Hey Coltrain47, I'm currently on the holy heist quest (NecroQuest12) and I found the holy relic on the ground and I'm sneaking and trying to swap it out with the fake one but it doesn't appear in the inventory screen for ground items, am I doing something wrong or do I have to get caught taking the relic to proceed with the quest?
When you take the real relic, the quest runs a skill check to determine if you get caught or succeed in making the switch. The chance for succeeding the roll is based on your pickpocket skill. You can finish the quest whether you succeed or fail- you'll just have to fight your way out if you get caught (which can be dangerous for people who have the Damage from Holy Places debuff). There is also a bonus at the end if you succeed in making the swap.
For reasons i don't entirely understand, i keep getting this quest initiated at the very start of the game, well before leveling mysticism at all, much less the actual necromancy skill from language skills overhaul.
Do you mean the "NecroQP Initiated" message? That's just to tell you that it is running the skill check in the background. It will run the skill check every few days, and the actual initiation quest shouldn't start until you pass it.
no i mean i get the initiation quest almost immediately. i started a character, travelled to aldingwall out of privateers hold, and got the initiation quest alongside the handful of letters from the main quest initiating. ive started a fresh character a number of times trying out different minor mods, and this has happened several times now. i'm not at all familiar with the checks internally, so i dunno if a conflict is possible or what. but i don't have *any* skills at 50 yet, much less mysticism or necromancy. i tried doing the initiation quest since time was limited, and got the next one the instant i got back to aldingwall as well, unsure if theres supposed to be any kind of delay between these quests.
I have the some thing, I'm still in privateer's hold and the quest start, giving me from 18 to 35 days to complete it and it's only been 3 in game days since starting a new character
Im not sure if this is a bug but I just go the Witch hunters quest. I got there, killed the three guys, It told me that I shouldnt waste time as long as the bodys are still frech, then nothing happend I got into the tavern and Spammed my Level Spell and I got a notification that the Witchhunter are all dead and got the Money.
When a quest ends, the corpses of quest enemies disappear immediately. I wanted people to be able to take enemies' corpses, so I added a short timer after killing the witchhunters to allow time to take them before they disappeared. If I can find a better workaround, I'll change it in future updates.
EDIT: The v1.2 update is out now. The issue should be fixed in the affected quests.
The Verbose version of the quest pack adds a journal entry in between quests that tells you how many days you have until the next quest is given. The Silent version is the exact same, but there is no journal entry.
Hello. I am using Cheb's Necromancy along with Language Skills Overhaul. Is that silly? I've been crashing a lot whenever I have undead minions. So I'm thinking it's perhaps conflicting
You shouldn't have to choose between them. Cheb's page says you should be able to use Classes Expanded as long as you disable the Necromancer Class in Cheb's mod settings.
NOTE: The "Necromancy" skill in Classes Expanded is just the language skill added by Language Skills Overhaul that lets you pacify and recruit existing undead (Cheb's class uses that skill as well). If you want to raise your own undead, you will still need Cheb's Necromancy.
