I was tempted to test the old version of Dark Souls on PC because of videos showing the differences between the original and the remastered, as it isn't available on Steam I had to download a pirated version, the problem is that now I've been trying to configure the mouse for two days, and the problem I'm having with this specific mod is the camera just stops working, I can't move the camera at all, I've tried everything, downloading old versions, disabling the UI, etc... nothing works, if anyone has Any idea of something that could be done I would be very grateful

I'm having the same issue, even after disabling the UI.  Did you find any solution?

I recommend everyone to try this one instead : http://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/862-dark-souls-mouse-fix/

It's a lot better , smoother , has less issues and it's overall higher quality.

This is light years beyond the mod on this page. You should, or the creator should, totally make a page here for this if it means more downloads. This is hands down the best KB+M fix available for this game.

Note that this mouse fix doesn't work with any other mods, except itself and dsfix, which kind of makes it useless, imo.

      don't expect an update here
edit: with dsfix 23,dsmfix works if you set UI mouse to 0.
of course for people using the DSMfix Unofficial 1.0.2.0 - that's what im using, thats what works.

DarkHermes thank you so much for that little tip. i've spent two days trying to get DSMfix to work with DSfix 23 and what you said worked for me.

Thank you! It does work. But it feels so strange! Almost like if I was playing with a controller (bluh!). I don't rememeber it being like this before, but it has been some time since I played so... yeah... Mouse smoothing did make things a little bit better though.

No it doesnt work, with the latest dsfix and steamworks version, mouse fix does not work, disabling ui mouse is effectively turning the mod off.

you would get the same effect if you turned off the mouse cursor in dsfix and then removing dsmfix.

we need a new dsmfix otherwise its practically unplayable with keyboard and mouse.

Please someoe, update it so we can use the scroll wheel to change targets , and change sensitivity.

vamp1rex0fxfear ...i am using the mouse dude.what are u talking about? with dsfix 2.3 and dsmfix 1.020 (or smth like that) it works...i just cancels the negative mouse acc (the main problem!!! )-yeah u can't switch targets with the wheel, but who cares ? the issue that made the game unplayable is the negative mouse acceleration.
this is the dsmfix version im using: http://www.moddb.com/downloads/dsmfix-unofficial-1020
u can't find it here since the original dev quit updating the mod.if 3 ppl say smth works maybe you should double-check
and again...the original dev won't be updating this (since he didn't update the 0.9 version either) look elsewhere.i came here since i knew ppl would ask about mouse updates so i guess i was trying to help.

the point of this mod is to add better mouse sensitivity, and the feature to change targets easier.

the mod doesnt do that at the moment.

You cant change the sensitivity, and you cant switch targets with the mouse wheel. the mod is broken.

1.the point of the mod is to cancel negative mouse acceleration.the rest of the options are a bonus.
2.u use lock-on therefore you are casul.
      3.jk.
the so called "sensitivity" is a problem caused by negative mouse acceleration(gugal that)
anyway...as i stated above, there will not be any updates here unfortunately.

A guy at reddit just made an "update" and you no longer need to set MouseUI-0. It doesn't fix the negative mouse acceleration however so... yeah...

No you are wrong thats not what the mod did, and the mod was not working at all, but there is a steamworks version now so anyone who needs it go download here, enter this in the address bar and replace the dsmfix dll, it works again unlike what this hermes dope thinks.

Damn, it is fixed! I forgot to change the dinput8dllWrapper none line. But now when I move my mouse to the left, the camera goes right, and when I move it to the right, the camera goes left lol. I'm trying to fix it and will update this if I manage to do it.

Does anyone here know how to add "kick" and "jump attack" as the options for the mouse buttons manually?
(and before anyone says, no, I can't use Dark Souls Mouse Fix, nor it's successor Dark Souls Input Customizer. THIS one is the only one that works for me, and I want to try to make kicking and jump attacking possible with my mouse buttons)

Can't you just rebind your mouse buttons to keyboard inputs? Otherwise no.

you dont have to download this. this one is the official version but when i used it, i cannot attack using the mouse or even change camera angle. the cursor also doesnt dissapear. after searching ive seen somebody said that the unofficial version should be used. its said that it works so i tried it as well, AND IT REALLY DID. just dont forget the dsfix.ini instruction indicated here, then use the files in this thread:

now i have to uninstall and reinstall the entire game. f*#@ you dude grow up before deciding to ruin other peoples s#*!

      The code is suppose to look like this;

      # Dinput dll chaining
      # if you want to use another dinput8.dll wrapper together
      # with DSfix, rename it (e.g. "dinputwrapper.dll") and put the new name here
      dinput8dllWrapper dsmfix.dll

In the Dsfix.ini file. You're not suppose to REPLACE it.

Access Denied occurs when something is using a file and is not letting you modify, overwrite or delete it. There is another situation where windows doesn't let you modify files due to permission settings but seeing how you already have DSFix installed that's probably not the case. You probably had DS running while you tried to install this mod or for some reason the process was still running after you quit. Either way, it's your responsibility to know what your doing and it's not the mod authors fault if you don't know how to use Windows, so stop being such a god-damn tool about it.

How do I uninstall this please? Can somebody help, i installed this and it is working fine and everything but recently I've bought a controller instead and this mod interferes with my 360 controller and doesn't let it work. I deleted all the dsmfix files yet somehow the mod still seems to work. I even uninstalled my Dark Souls game and reinstalled only to find out the mod somehow still works. I've also tried disabling Dsfix itself and removing dsfix as well as inputting dinput8dllWrapper none as well but none of these seem to be working. Can somebody please help???

Also, even if I try to reinstall Dsmfix and untick the "Enabled" option, the mod still works regardless

Hey, my friend! I also uninstalled and reinstalled the game to try to fix this, but like you say, the mod still worked and the files were still there. What I did to uninstall this was to delete the whole DATA folder wherever you had it installed. In my case, the path was "D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition\DATA".

Then, in your Steam library right click on Dark Souls, go to "properties", then in the tab "local files" do the "verify integrity of game files" and it will automatically reapply the missing files. It worked for me at least

typically some mouses have two buttons on the left side that you can press with your thumb. If you don't have these, you don't have buttons 4 & 5
