Hey there, I found your mod yesterday and it's exactly what I was looking for! However, there is one small problem.
I'm using the Enemies Original Weapons Mod, or the Elite Knights Original Weapons Mod, I don't remember how it's called (EKWRP Mod abbreviated), and I'm using the Farron Greatsword that transforms you into the actual Abyss Watcher model. I need it for a cinematic video of the Gael fight that i'm trying to do.
The problem is that, when I use either of your two alternative camera modes, the FOV gets decreased, and there's no way for me to set it up to the values I actually need. Given that the model of the Abyss Watcher is quite big, and definitely bigger than the player model, I have to increase the FOV manually every time. And even then, it's not enough.
Yesterday I discovered in the Cheat Engine table that I always use for DS3 (The Grand Archives table), that I could also move where the camera is looking at. So, I tried modifying it, putting a little bit to right, then trying to the left, then forward and then backwards. The results were good... kinda.
The camera itself bugs out sometimes, and that very annoying and absolutely not cinematic. So, when I found out about your mod, that does exactly what I need in such a smooth way, I was extremely excited. But then, seeing that I can't modify the FOV, I was very disappointed, because the Abyss Watcher model covers almost the entire screen, and you can't even see it fully.
So, to summarize, is there a way I can increase the FOV while I'm using your camera modes? I would highly appreciate your help, 🙏
Hi, I made a mod that adds a crosshair into the game (originally intended for the first person camera mod), but it also tremendously helps aiming with the action camera: (https://www.nexusmods.com/darksouls3/mods/1589)
I currently play the Boss Weapons Original Movesets Restored Project, and as this mod messes up the lock on functionality (changed into preffering the most far away target), mods that change the camera to improve manual aiming are very helpful;-).
Well both this and the first person mod have their own drawbacks, so I am currently doing a mix and match approach. Yet it is great to have at least the possibility to change the camera and game play behaviour arround!
Appreciate the attempt, but it doesn't seem to work properly. The camera seems to glitch out at random for some reason. In both modes. Which is a shame cuz it's a very cool idea. Hoping for a fix, or maybe pointers as to why this might be happening. I changed nothing, I only followed the instructions and ran the .CTRAINER executable.
Are you playing with keyboard and mouse? As I said in the description - there are issues when locking onto enemies while you use kb/m. You will have to not lock onto enemies or play with gamepad. This is DS3 specific issue, Sekiro doesn't have it.
I never mentioned anything about keyboard and mouse or the lock-on. Im using an xbox one controller. The camera just randomly starts freaking out for no apparent reason and stays that way until i restart the .exe. Really weird.
I'm very positive. There's no way to reproduce it because it honestly happens at random, like the camera will start freaking out at some point as you play. Doesn't take too long to happen either. Not sure what might be causing this at all.
I have encountered this issue as well, also playing on xbox controller. I can tell you of one specific area that seems to trigger the camera spazzing out without fail. In High wall, at the bottom of the stairs that lead up to where the dragon swoops in to breathe fire on everything.
Hope you can manage to fix it because I find the closer camera to be a very nice feature indeed!
I went there and walked around the whole area - above and below. Is your issue with the random minor player jiggle while moving, which is barely noticeable? If so, that can't be fixed. For me personally the far bigger issues remain the lock-on not following the enemy and the "escape wall collision" not being enabled, both of which I don't think are possible to fix sadly. Other than that I didn't notice any issues at all.
I know, mine too. I tried very hard to fix that, but I don't think it is possible. Zullie the Witch couldn't even do it. The other issue that is bothering is the no clip through textures when they are next to you
