Q. I can't use my soapstone!
A. If the soapstone is grayed out in every area, that means you're offline and need to connect to a private server. If it is only usable in select areas (as in you can't summon in Firelink Shrine but you can in High Wall of Lothric) that means the mod is not installed properly.
Q. I can't connect to a self hosted server.
A. Check if you can connect to ?ServerName? if you can then shard that one. Self hosted servers aren't needed anymore.
Q. How do I shard a server?
A. Click the bottom left corner on the loader window that says "Create new server" and follow the instructions. If you don't see the sharded instance set minimum players to 0 which can be found under the box where your game directory is.

HOST PLAYER ONLY STEPS:
Look for your friend's summon sign on the ground.
Press the confirm button on your friend's sign and scroll over to ok and press the confirm button again
PHANTOM ONLY STEPS:
Place your sign on the ground and wait for your friend to summon it
Note: If you cannot see your friend's sign that could be for one of two reasons,
1. It's a server issue, restart both games and try again.
2. No multiplayer password is enabled. Go to the network settings (it looks like a knight emerging out of the ground) and set one. Both players need this... -
How to install the mod and use DSOS with it
Extract the mod from the files tab and extract the loader also from files tab
Open the enhanced co-op mod folder you just extracted and move everything in there to your game folder
Open the loader you just extracted and run it
Click create new server in the bottom left and follow the instructions then click create server
Note: if it doesn't appear set minimum players to 0... -

Download enhanced co-op from the files tab
Download painted worlds from here:

Right click enhanced coop and click extract all then click extract on the window that pops up
Right click painted worlds and click extract all then extract on the window that pops up
In the enhanced co-op folder you just extracted rename "dinput8.dll" to "modengine.dll" and move all the files into your game folder
If asked, click replace files in the destination
Now go to the painted worlds folder you just extracted and move all the files into your game folder
Go to your game folder and open LazyLoad.ini

How to install cinders and convergence ports
Cinders:
Extract the Cinders port found in files tab
Take the Cinders folder and put it into your game folder
Launch the game
Convergence:
Extract the Convergence port found here:

Then take the files in there and move them into your convergence mod folder

Painted worlds - How to invite friends
Once you're ingame press shift and tab on your keyboard to open the steam overlay.
Once this is open click the drop down arrow next to your friend's name and click invite to game
Your friend will get a steam message saying they've been invited to play dark souls 3, have them click play game...
