Many people unfortunately keep missing a step in the UXM version and proceed to post about how my mod version for UXM doesn't work. Seeing as how it's the only version I use let me try and explain. So for those people and future new comers, UXM is a two part process, first you unpack all the files from the archives of the game, then you patch the DarkSoulsIII.exe so that it loads in those loose files. If you can't handle that simple process that's your problem, but please don't go blaming my mod when you can't get something as simple as UXM to work because you didn't follow instructions.
The UXM version works with ModEngine for me. Just paste the two folders to whatever folder you are using for ModEngine, works without unpacking the files with UXM. It's probably the easiest way
I got it to work with ModEngine, because I don't want to unpack everything. But now I'm worried that I can get banned for using ModEngine because the comment above the blockNetworkAccess option says:
Mod engine uses code injection which is scanned for by the anticheat, so turn this option off at your own risk.
Does anyone know if ModEngine is safe for online play when my only mod I'm using is this mod (PS4 Controller Icons)? Because I hate starting iGP11 every time.
Truth I don't think mod engine is safe for online play. But also I'm not entirely sure. From what I've heard from most people is to just use it in offline mode. I believe (and again I could be wrong) but I believe they can tell when something like mod engine is hooking into the exe. With UXM it makes a few changes the to exe so that it loads loose files and as long as those loose files don't have changes to your save you're fine. Mine doesn't have any changes to the save, but other mods like with scripts do make changes to saves so when the saves get uploaded after starting the game they see those changes or rather the way those scripts affect the save and ban you. Again I would do more research or maybe scour the mod engine comments for answers. All I know is UXM is the safest option to not get banned and use my version of the mod that also changes the L1 and R1 which those can't be changed in iGP11.
Hello. I installed the mod using UXM (unpack, place mod to game folder with overwrite, patch). PS4 icons are working, but LB and RB text still here. Maybe developers changed game behavior a bit... Could you help with this?
i made a quick edit, just in case someone else need it

Unfortunately you can't. Igp11 only replaces textures, there's a difference between the L1, and R1 button icon textures, and the TEXT in the inventory screen. Igp11 can't replace text. With UXM you can unpack the archives and change the exact file which again is pure text, no texture.
Good afternoon, I have this problem. Icons are installed, but the mod also changes the interface language to English. How do I put a different language?

unpack > drop files > patch
works.
