does anyone know how i can get the bb dash to work all the time instead of only in tarf=get lock mode? im using fps mod and this works well for the estus animations and combat EXCEP dodging. fos doesnt allow first person lock on and bb dash only works when locked to a target. theres the bb dash mod as well which fixes that but it uses one of the same files that overwrites this one and its cancels the bloodvial animation for healing.
I got all the character animations from this Hunter's Combat + Bloodborne Movement merged with Cinders and is working flawlessly so far. If anyone is interested, here is how I did it:
PS: I am not a modder and just recently started messing up with this kind of thing, so I only have the bare minimum knowledge of how merging mods work. For sure there are unnecessary steps on the process I'm about to describe, and some that could be not even be the best way of doing it. Regardless of that, it worked this way for me, so I'm gonna list them anyway in case it helps someone else. Also, I am not a native english speaker, but will try my best to list all the steps as simple and clear as I possibly can.
1) Install Cinders as you normally would. Instructions are on their page. At the time of this post, latest version is 2.15;
2) Download Yabber, Hunter's Combat and Bloodborne Movement. Extract them on 3 different folders. Note that you only need the /chr folder from Hunter's Combat, so to avoid confusion I recommend extracting only that folder, not the whole thing. For Bloodborne Movement, download the full latest regular version, not the unpacked files;
3) Unpack all files from the /chr folder of both Hunter's Combat and Bloodborne Movement using Yabber. To do this, select all files on the /chr folder of each mod and drag them to Yabber.exe. This will create several folders under each mod's /chr folder, each folder having the same name of the file you dragged into Yabber. Those folders are the unpacked files of each mod. After unpacking, delete the original files and keep only the folders to make this less confusing and avoiding any mistake. Make sure to check Yabber and that no errors occurred during the unpacking process.
4) Copy all folders Yabber created from Bloodborne Movement's /chr folder to Hunter's Combat /chr folder. When you are prompted on what to do with the files with the same name, chose to replace those files;
5) Now, select all folders of Hunter's Combat /chr folder and drag them to Yabber.exe. You will notice Yabber now did the opposite, it created a bunch of files, each with the same name of a folder you dragged into it. These are the character's animations of Hunter's Combat + Bloodborne Movement in a single mod and this is what we will be merging with Cinders. Since our merged mod ended up on Hunter's Combat /chr folder, I will refer to it as Hunter's Combat from now on.
6) Once the files are created, delete all folders on /chr of Hunter's Combat to make less confusing. Keep only the files Yabber just created;
7) Go to your Cinders mod and backup the whole /chr folder in case something goes wrong;
7) After you made your backup, go to Cinders' /chr folder. You will notice that Cinders have A LOT of files in that folder. What you need to do is locate the ones which have the same name as the files on Hunter's Combat /chr folder. Once you find one (for example c0000.anibnd.dcx), select it and drag it to Yabber.exe to unpack it. Do this for all files on Cinders' /chr folder that have the same name of a file from Hunter's Combat /chr folder. There are 9 files in total. Do them one at a time to make sure you don't miss any. Just like before, Yabber will create a folder for each file, so you should end with 9 folders created on Cinders' /chr folder;
8) Unpack the whole /chr folder of Hunter's Combat, dragging all files to Yabber. This will create the folders again, one for each file. Delete all files and keep only the folders;
9) Copy all folders Yabber just created on the /chr folder of Hunter's Combat into Cinders' /chr folder. When you are prompted on what to do with the files of the same name, chose to replace the files;
10) To finish the process, after the copy is complete, drag all 9 folders from Cinders' /chr folder into Yabber. Yabber will merge them and create a file for each folder. It will automatically overwrite the Cinders original file with the merged file, and also create a backup of the original.
11) Enjoy moving, running, healing and doing visceral attacks like a true Hunter!
I highly recommend also using Bloodborne Hud, Bloodborne SFX and Bloodborne Music. The only one that needs Yabber to merge is the Hud one, but the process far more simple than this one and gives you the closest you gonna get to Bloodborne on DS3 while also enjoying the cool features Cinders bring.
The gun shooting animation doesn't work and the bloodborne dash animations also do not work. I tried this step by step and couldn't figure out what was wrong. Not sure why it's not working.
Correct me if I'm wrong, animbnb with the same names should contain same amount of files, so by replacing stuff in hunter combat's animbnb's subfolder with bb movement's, everything in the animbnb had become the latter's, the same can be said for step 9) as well. So the process equals overwriting them directly with the files you downloaded, hunter replaces cinders, and bb movement replaced the replaced, yabber needn't play a part in it
man i did every step exacly as you told so and still couldnt get it to work. I just launch the games and theres no changes on the animations, no bb dash and etc. Can you please help me? Add me on discord if possible: BigHatLogan#1317
I installed this mod with cinders and it is kinda bugged: -some weapons from cinders have broken weapon arts and movesets, -most of them (items from cinders) have wierd icons with some things like some japanese text, "dummy", sometimes both, have switched items icons with something other, -also "YOU DIE" and thing that appers when you recover your souls is just some ID of it, Any help? I still can play this but it just wayyyyyy les fun and immersive
