this mod is so great, however the game is crashing when visiting a bonfire after beating gwyn. ive seen that you're working on a fix, just please don't take too long. i'll postpone my playthrough in the meantime lol
I downloaded the optional 3 file for no humanity check but also the kindle option but when i put the file inside the folder it the kindle doesnt work for some reason? Is this is a mistake on my end or would you by chance have a fix for it?
Considering the large number of files this mod touches, I would say the chance of it getting you banned is high. But nobody knows for sure whether a mod will or will not get you banned online unless someone has verified that they've been banned while using it. Nobody outside From Software knows what, exactly, the anti-cheat system checks for. It should just generally be assumed that using any mod at all while playing online will get you banned. If you want to play online and are concerned about getting banned, then you shouldn't use be using any mods at all.
how would i go about transferring this to a new pc? i noticed when i copied the game and game save over to my laptop just now i dont have the bonfires anymore on the new comp
TL;DR - Do you have a handy reference document for the changes that this mod makes to menu.msgbnd.dcx?
I spent some time trying to merge Better Bonfires with the Single Player Tweak mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/darksoulsremastered/mods/393?tab=description), which both touch menu.msgbnd.dcx. The pre-Lordvessel warp actually works, but all the grouping and bonfire names are the placeholder string ?ActionE. My hypothesis is that this mod has a set of entries in menu.msgbnd.dcx that the warp code references, but I couldn't quite figure how out to merge those changes with whatever it is that Single Player Tweaks did in that same file using Smithbox. And unhelpfully, Smithbox doesn't have a compare or diff function that works on the relevant files.
