What parameter controls the casting speed for miracles and whatnot? I wanna do a strength/faith build and don't wanna waste 30 levels just to cast the speed it should've been by default. Any help is appreciated.
Spells -> "analogDexiterityMin" and "analogDexiterityMax". But in this mod miracles are sped up already. Pyromancies cap speed at 40 dex. Only Sorceries are unable to gain cast speed with dex since they are already powerful and being able to speed them up to cast 2 spells in one attack window would make it overpowered compared to the other magic types.
Odd, I thought that had to be it but when I altered it several different ways it didn't seem to do anything. What did you set the values at?
Edit: Nevermind I'm just dumb, set the values wrong. I did min 1, max 2 which worked for anyone curious. I'll check out the mod though, lotta little things about this old game bug me.
You can also leave me some feedback here and I could think about fixing/changing some other stuff. I am still working on a newer version that also has new spells and weapons you can get in NG+.
I don't know if I should add an extra spoiler for exact locations because I want players to discover the locations again not just run up to the item. I also thought about placing it somewhere else or requiring an exchange item you offer like a covenant item. The problem with pyromancies is that they don't require stats so they shouldn't be that easy to get.
There will be an update anyway in some months with even more spells that are stronger and can only be acquired with offers but are ng+ only.
I absolutely love the idea of stronger spells in Ng+. I think a cool way to do that if it would be possible is to add NPCs or something similar who drop these Ng+ spells and only spawn in Ng+. Also, I think it would add a lot of replayability if there were some melee weapons with a special attack that is similar to some of these spells, like how the dragonslayer spear can cast lightning spear and the grant can cast wraith of the gods.

I've actually been looking into making mods myself, I've just graduated and now that I don't have to do both school and work full time I can actually learn some things for this game that has been such a big part of my life. Your mod really resonates with me because it feels like it belongs in the base game, and I love the quality of life changes. I really like the added dark pyromancies because I've found myself wishing there were more of them in Ds1, or wishing there was a Darkmoon version of great lightning spear. And I live the changed to bows and shields. If you have any tips on where to start when learning or any mistakes to avoid I'd love to hear them. I've been really inspired by things like your work and by things like Pickleman's "My dream one-handed R2 Moonlight Butterfly Horn" mod. You do amazing work and I think more people should experience the game like this. sorry for the wall of text lol.
Thank you, these words really mean a lot to me. It is always my goal to create a Redesign mod of a game to make it the best version that the game can be but with the fewest changes possible. I always want to keep the original spirit of the game. I am also working on a Dark Souls 3 Redesign mod :)

I have invested about 5 months into sfx/vfx (stuff you see when casting spells) research to figure out almost all values. It is tiring to say the least. The one and most important advice I can give is that you need to be patient. Don't get frustrated when something doesn't work or you can't figure it out. Split your work across days and learn step-by-step. Just be consistent and you will reach your goal :)
As someone who usually tinkers with mods using some param editor or some such - where in the game files is the lock-on distance settings (camera settings of some kind I assume)?
EDIT - lockcamparam I assume? would you mind sharing your values? I guess i can always open the mod up and take a look.
You can only lower the lock-on range with "lockcamparam". I did a mass edit with DSMapStudio on the "NPCParam", there is a field called "LockDist" and I set it to 30.
thats the software I use - thanks for the tip, never would have assumed to check stats for each npc, but given how things work elsewhere, I should have expected such design thoughts from Fromsoft.
Sadly not since I have made lots of param changes and you would need to merge only those changes with the vanilla file. Apart from that other changes are not easily reverted. What exactly do you dislike about the other changes?
I have taken a look and the mod edits the params so no, unless you merge the changes it is not compatible but don't worry! In my mod you get enough casts and spells at the start and start areas for each mage class if you want to play as one. I mean if you insist on the more protection changes from the Easy Mod then you could download the DSR Gadget and set your HP higher (don't forget to block DSR in the firewall which you can easily do with my mod files).

To fix your save game either try offering another sunlight medal or give yourself the items: You can download DSR Gadget. Then put the unzipped files into the game folder, then launch the DSR-Gadget.exe after the game is already running. Then go to "Items" - here chose either Category "Consumables" - select the Sunlight Medal and click "Create" then offer it OR if it doesn't work - chose Category "Spells", select the Great Lightning Spear and click "Create" and select Sunlight Blade and click "Create".
Thanks for your answer, I reinstalled the mod, and started from the beginning, and after the gargoyle fight I offered the 10 sunlight medals, and it worked, and Solaire also says the extra lines correctly, it's a nice mod up to this point!
