It works with elden ring's seamless co-op so it can probably be done with dsr as well.

      • Try placing ds1sc.dll and ds1sc_settings.ini in "dllMods" folder.
      • Then put locale folder in a "ds1sc" folder inside "mods" folder.
      • Then add
        { enabled = true, name = "ds1sc", path = "mods/ds1sc" },

      under "mods = [" line in modengine.toml
Or maybe try the normal ds1sc install method :)

I was not able to make it work that way, only worked when I let ds1sc files and dlls inside mods/ds1sc it now runs the game but the mod is not quite  there like it did not properly load that one. The reremastered mod is working. I did not locate config.toml is it nessesary?

This is the lines I get in the log:

My game is a non-steam version, is it the same that it cannot be used?? Windows error reporting program shows that there is an error in steam_api64.dll

Your log reports everything working as intended. So the problem might be one of:

      • dsr-lighting and your pc hardware/drivers
      • incorrect installation of dsr-lighting
      • your "non-steam" steam_api64.dll or antivirus messing with it

Would love a version of this for Dark Souls 3 so I can easily run mods on the steam deck.

It should work for AC6, ER, Sekiro, DS3 and DSR. Just keep in mind, that for ER and AC6 you need to run the game through non-EAC executable and set the game to offline mode to avoid bans.

It should work with sotfs but you need to properly configure your modengine.toml.

UPD. Double-checked and no, the original ME2 didn't work with SotFS. Sorry for misleading.

inside the modengine.toml file it reads -  support for merging of params and potentially other assets is considered for
    a future release
please let it be true one day lol

I don't think the main ModEngine project is still active, so that's highly unlikely.

This should work the same way mod engine does for ER/DS3 right? I'm looking for a way to override parts files without swapping the actual game's files every single time.

Yes. This is a modified version of ModEngine and it should work the same way.

It didn't seem to work but I will try again (tried swapping Hard Leather with AoiYozora's Faraam Set).

Tested with other armors. It does work.

So, aside from DLLs, this allows usage of mods that replace unpacked files without directly overwriting them in the game folder?

That's great! would this also work with the PTDE version, by any chance?

PTDE is not supported by the original ModEngine if I'm not mistaken.

It should be compatible with DS3 out of the box.
