this mod is great and works perfectly, just install it correctly .... i use like 50 mods from here to play DAYS GONE and this is one of them , i also have gameplay on my youtube channel to showcase the mods and how good they work

For those not wishing to use an engine mod and still STOP when they choose. *
Biggest issue I have with vanilla breaks is using the front break most times you slide 20 feet past intended destination other times, a near dead stop - terrain plays a part but its so random, as if not quite working as intended (bugged).. So you'd assume applying BOTH front & back would fix this, nope, applying the back break is near useless unless you spam the space bar (not easy unless you have 15 fingers) as it applies the once and thats it, thus having little stopping affect. (I maybe wrong but when sliding/skidding with the back break without the front break applied it works, the rear break remains applied during the slide, but use both front break & rear break in a straight line to stop, as said, rear break applies for a second and disengages unless you repeatedly press the space bar/rear break repeatedly - which is unintuitive and just feels meh.
SO.
*Best "fix" I found was to simply hold the "Dismount" button (get off the bike) - you stop exactly where you want regardless of terrain.
& Thus I use breaks only as additional steering "tools". ie rear break for that classic 180 slide then nitros to avoid ploughing into a horde or front break merely to slow your speed to steer around obstacles, but not to stop.
So, sorry if this is a dumb question, but what do you mean by brake upgrades? Are there brake upgrades in game? I'm only aware of the Visual brake parts that don't do anything. Am I missing something? Perhaps I'm not far enough in game, I'm at Iron Mikes camp.
Exactly what I needed. Needs just a little tweaking. Take an advice from a MC: The break strength is a bit too much. It is faster breaking than any new sets of bricks on a new motorcycle (and hell, I know how brutal a Z900 with top notch breaks can be lol) Needs to be tuned down by around 25-30% - as an optional mod, ofcourse. :)
ALT version uploaded, now brake upgrades have different values, the strongest is 10% weaker than the main mod and the first brakes are 30% weaker than the main mod.
Much appreciated! I was actually avoiding all engine upgrades past Engine 1 upgrade with 2x speed mods because it felt fast enough for a while, but braking was so bad at top speed with just that upgrade. Thank you!
