[ Suits Re-textured ]
-|- Advanced Suit
-|- Agility Advanced Suit
-|- Elite Advanced Suit
-|- Shockpoint Suit

Affected suits may be expanded over time if interest is shown.

Note:
The 'Advanced' suits share the same model design and the only differences are in the textures, bump maps, material
appearance and lighting. I altered only the core suit textures to be Black and Aqua - suit materials (cloth, synthetic,
metal, leather, etc.), bump maps and other design elements remain unchanged. Because of this, differences between
suits of the same design may not be as noticeable while using this mod as they are normally.

This mod utilizes Texmod v0.9b for texture replacement. As this program simply tells the game to use the altered textures
in the mod package file during runtime, no changes are made to any actual game files.

However, due to how the tool interacts with the DX9 rendering API to replace textures, if you are running the game through
a gaming client like Steam or Origin, avoid multiplayer while using this mod or play in 'Offline Mode' when possible to avoid
their anti-cheat services possibly causing you undesired repercussions due to interpreting the tool's behavior as a cheat.

--Questions--
What is Texmod?
The TexMod modding tool was created by Racer_S back in 2006 at tombraiderhub.com for altering Lara's appearance in
the Tomb Raider games. Since its release well over a decade ago, it has been used by many, many gamers and modders
to alter the appearance of elements in hundreds of games. The tool can be used by mod creators to package altered
textures together to then share for others to use, or as a player to load packages made by other people.

You can download RS's Texmod.exe file directly from tombraiderhub at this link:

Can I also use ReShade/SweetFX at the same time?
Yes! TexMod only interacts with the DX9 API in regards to redirecting game textures in memory to textures used in the tpf
files. It is fully compatible with SweetFX/ReShade programs.

How do I load the skins onto the game using Texmod?
Using these skin files is extremely fast and easy to do and no installation is necessary.
Simply:
- Extract the Texmod.exe mod tool and the mod's "***.tpf" file(s) to any place on your computer
- Launch the extracted Texmod.exe program
- Select/Locate your game executable via the large folder icon at the top left
- Select the desired mod "***.tpf" file(s) via the small folder icon in the center
- Launch the game using the 'Run' button at the bottom of the Texmod window

Note For "Origin" users:
There is an issue launching the game with TexMod due to how the Origin game launcher works, but the issue is easily avoided.
If your game is the Origin version, the Origin launcher is required to launch the game's executable instead of being able to
load the game on its own. This means TexMod cannot be used instead to launch the game.

i.e. "Origin > Game Executable" prevents "TexMod > Game Executable"
TexMod would need to be inserted between the two: "Origin > TexMod > Game Executable"
This is accomplished by a simple renaming of TexMod and the game executable so Origin will launch TexMod and then reverting the
name change and TexMod can be used normally to load the game executable.
- Rename your game executable from "deadspace2.exe" to "deadspace2-ORIG.exe" (for Origin/Original)
- Rename the TexMod executable to "deadspace2.exe" and place it in the Dead Space 3 folder with the "deadspace2-ORIG.exe" file.
- Launch game via Origin so the TexMod exe gets loaded
- While it is open, rename "deadspace2.exe" (texmod) to "deadspace2-TEX.exe" (for texmod)
- Rename "deadspace2-ORIG.exe" back to "deadspace2.exe" and choose this original exe file with its original name through TexMod

If what I've read on this issue is accurate, when you launch the game via Origin then it will simply launch the executable
file named "deadspace2.exe", which will actually be TexMod. You can then revert the names of the executables to normal and point
TexMod to the normal "deadspace2.exe" game executable file with its normal name, then select your skins and hit Run on the
TexMod window to launch the game.

This renaming would need to be done each time, and then reverted after done playing, but it could be automated with a BAT file
or two. This way it can be done quickly and automatically every time instead of manually. Like one BAT file that would rename
TexMod and the original exe, then you load the 'game' (texmod) in Origin, then run another BAT to rename them back, then load
the game exe in TexMod normally. (Rename files > load game/TexMod in origin > rename back > load game in TexMod)

Can I use more than one skin file at a time?
Absolutely! You can select and load multiple skin files (individually from different stored locations or in bulk if stored in the same folder).
The TexMod tool will also remember recently selected game executables and skin files for faster loading in the future.

However, take note of which skins you are loading at the same time and if they are for the same suit/weapon. The loaded skin
files are loaded in sequence from the bottom to the top, so the textures in the top-most files will take precedence.

Example:
If you load my single All Black Suits skin file first and then load my Aqua Advanced Suit skin file and position it below the All Black
file, then the Aqua skin will not be used due to the All Black skin loading after it. As the two alter the same suit's textures, the black
suit textures will be used instead of the Aqua due to being listed above the Aqua skin. If you reverse them (using the center up/down
arrows) so Aqua is on top of the All Black skin, then all suits will be black except for that one, which will be Aqua as its skin file
loaded last.

Essentially, at one time you can load without conflict:
+ 1 'Selective' suit skin per suit
+ 1 'All Suits' skin pack color (to re-texture all other suits)
+ 1 Visor Color skin
+ 1 RIG Color skin
+ 1 RIG Design skin
+ 1 'Selective' weapon skin per weapon
+ 1 'All Weapons' skin pack color (to re-texture all other weapons)

Combine Suit Color, Visor Color and RIG Color with your choice of RIG Design for a completely themed suit.

How do I remove the mod?
As no installation is necessary, no uninstallation is necessary.
Simply:
- Delete the Texmod.exe and mod "***.tpf" file(s) from wherever you extracted them to
