Thank you for your excellent work! I replaced the efx of deep stinger to your dmc3 judgement cut efx, now it looks like the tracking JCE casted by the boss vergil in DMC3 m20 very much! It was my dream to use the boss vergil's super skill when I played DMC3, finally it comes true in DMC5, what a luck! Could I have your permission to upload it? Certainly I'll write the link of your mod and credit your work. (I don't know why the page shows error once I click the private contact button, so I have to post my request here)
Hey man, awesome mod. I'm just wondering how you mod or even open the efx files. I'm working on my own mod right now, and i've modified both the mesh files and txt files but I can't find any information on efx anywhere. Not even on the RE2 forums. I just need a little push in the right direction, sorry to bother you.
I use a HEX editor to edit them and more precisely 010 Editor. There is a must have DMC5 EFX Template for that editor that makes the editing a lot more efficient. Here are the instructions of how to use it LINK. If you have additional questions you can join the dmc modding discord LINK.
Thank you so much man, I've been scraping through RE2 modding forums learning everything. I wasn't able to find a DMC modding discord either, but apparently one does exist.
My mods, most do not work, as of modifications in the abilities of vergil, JDC and some others do not work, I have already installed the mods but never change anything, the most I got was a mod to make the effects like dmc4, nothing besides, could you help me?
Before installing any mods, did you try the "Re-read game archives" option in Fluffy Manager? Also try renaming the rar. For example: from this "Vergil DMC3 JC Effects-1010-v1-0-1609067995" to this "Vergil DMC3 JC Effects".
you will need fluffy manager which you can get in this site , and then download mod, unzip if needed , and copy paste file in fluffy manager-,DMC5-MOD, then activate it, then launch game
i tried it both ways , no luck i mean with boss damage jc and then your mod, your mod should overwrite only the boss jc vfx and keep the damage ,but its either one or the other if i have both on then boss JC VFX stays
