Holy heck! Finally an actual port of a DMC4 Dante!!! Nothing against the original DMC4 Dante for DMC3, but lets be real, the original was just a bad recolor of DMC1 Dante and the turtleneck was turned into a thick skinned neck lol
I disagree, it wasn't bad at all. Back when the original was made, I'm pretty sure the most people could do was custom texture mods but original model swapping, so they made the costume through what they had, and it did the job. Hell, that's one of the reasons why it got ported to Nexus twice, even.
That's why I said I had nothing against the original recolor. I just said that is bad for today's standards. And something I should have mentioned, is that the DMC4 Dante recolor for DMC3, is OLDER than DMC4 itself. The dude that made the recolor made it based on early trailers. Heck, on Youtube there is even gameplay and trailers for that recolor/mod from 2008 lol
It doesn't matter if don't have anything against it or you're putting it under a certain condition like standards, if you say that it is bad, you're saying that it is bad. I am saying that it is not whatsoever.
I do not know where you got the part where it was made before the game came out from, those retextures uploaded here clearly use the diffuse textures straight from Devil May Cry 4 which is a game that came out in january of 2008, so you might be thinking of a different mod altogether that came out at that time.
In the original 2008 version it used another texture. You can see an old trailer made for it after DMC4 came out and the textures used a weird shade of red.
So yeah, I think we both were talking about completely different mods entirely here lol. The recolor one with the faithful textures (the one you meant) is actually quite good and is the one I used for so many years.
PS: Also, don't click on the download link listed in the video, as it links to a phishing hentai website now lol
Hey, man, saw your work here and thought to leave this a request. I've been searching for a dmc5 vergil outfit mod, i've seen the 2 that exist for the game but none look actually faithfull to it (one simply recolors the coat but don't change the symbols paterns and the other has yellow inner's [original is less saturated yellow] of the coat). If making it is not of your interest, mind telling me the seps to uncompress the files so I can start texture editing it myself?
That project is still a bit down the line of things I plan to do, so You're gonna have to wait if you hope to see me to do that, but don't hold your breath on it because it's not by any means my next project.
About that last part, you're better off asking that question in the Infernal Warks discord server, which I linked in the description of this mod. It's just better off with me and others who know how to mod the game giving you a guide there rather than me alone giving you a guide in a Nexus comment section.
That .nbz file you can find with the GData folder is a backup of the original files and essentially just a renamed .zip file, you can open it with winrar or 7zip and get any original files you may need in the future for anything, you don't even need to rename its extension or anything to open it.
