Keep DefaultPreset.ini, will be used during installation.
Go to ReShade website, download and install ReShade choosing the Disco game directory and DefaultPreset.ini. Don't change anything and press next to all after. Open Disco Elysium, you'll get ReShade menu.
Awesome! This is a very well done Reshade preset. I turned off a couple of the bloom and CA effects but it still looks great and I got a few fps back. Thanks
I don't usually comment on this website, but I just had to comment on this one. Absolutely phenomenal job on the reshade settings. The game looks amazing. As you said so yourself, this is a very stylized look and may not jive with others, but for people like me this shader is an absolute must. Again, great job on this one!
check to make sure your graphics card is compatible! My computer has DirectX 12, which doesn't work with reshade, so the game crashes when it tries to launch itself. I think directX 9, 10, and 11 are supported? EDIT: I've solved it! What you want to do is download the right version of ReShade from their site (linked here)--You want 4.9 or earlier for dx12 computers. Once you've got that, run the setup to install itself for Disco Elysium. Finally, copy over the files in the reshade-shaders folder and DefaultPreset -- if you keep the other files that came with installing ReShade, it fixes the launcher issue! It might take some more fiddling to get the shaders themselves working, but this gets you to a pretty good start.
Unfortunately, the game doesn't start when I use this. I can install and start it fine with reshade, but not the install on your main page sadly. Edit: I got it to work with a little fiddling. It may have been user error. I just had to manually activate the preset in reshade in the game.
I made a few adjustments (turned off tilt shift) but overall I really like this reshade. I'm from a Northern country and it captures for me the feeling that winter gives when looking at its best. Thank you for sharing this with us :)
Also if you are a noob and this comment is scaring you don't, it's fairly easy to install.
