Hello, I followed the advice of another modder (Scrooge Shop Extra Refresh) and the mod worked with the latest update :) instructions below:
To fix the BepIn version : - Install the latest version : https://builds.bepinex.dev/projects/bepinex_be/688/BepInEx-Unity.IL2CPP-win-x64-6.0.0-be.688%2B4901521.zip - Edit <path to the game directory>/BepInEx/config/BepInEx.cfg and set UnityLogListening to false
While this may be a "fix", it is not from the makers of this mod, nor mod loaders. Therefore any use of this can break your game, I am not able to give any advice or help on this as this is not our, makers of Scrooge Refresh, doing. If you intend to use this then use at your own risk, We will not be able to help you fix your game if you have done this.
Tbf, while this is obviously not a perfect solution, I personally highly doubt that disabling UnityLogListening for BepInEx could cause any issues, so at least I didn't hesitate to do so as this indeed gets rid of the errors...
I've been using this mod for around a year now if not more and I love it dearly. Has there been any way to lessen/stop the crashes it causes though? Much appreciated!
Hey i tryed everything so far but neither melon nor Bepin will do anithing at all for me. game starts normal but the mod just dose not work can anyone tell me if this is still possible to use at all?
Hey there, the BepInEx version should still work with the latest update; how did you check it? One thing thats not really being made clear is that when you enter furniture edit mode, the limits at first will appear to be the same, and only once you change the item amount (so either add or remove something) the modded values will get updated. You'll be able to add new items even when above the limit tho
Could someone help me because i downloaded it (i use Bepinex) and i have zero clue where to put it .... i tried multiple areas but nothing works... i need help please Ps ; i play via Epic Games if that changes anything i dont know, and a few months back i downloaded the scroog refesh mod, and the pick up multiplier, i tried putting this one in there as well but didnt work, ive been on this for hours my mind is going to explode tbh...
Update : Ive asked for help but still nothing can someone help me please lol
Whoops sorry did only see that comment rather late after you first posted it and usually people stop looking for replies here on nexus after a few couples days without an answer, so I thought it was too late anyway, sorry for that ';)
Soo you've got BepInEx installed and running already? And made sure to unzip the file, and then put the .dll into the same plugins folder as your other mods that are working? (Just to check off the basics for a start)
hello, its ok, i dont really kmow much about all this so i thought here was the best place to ask --' :) ok so to answer your estions yes i have bepinex running on my pc and i wanted to add a couple mods such as this one the no object limit, the scroog one and the multiplier picker. i play with epic games just in case that helps you out, when i go into my locallow files, i see ganeloft and then disney dreamlight valley, theres multiple things in there and an epic folder, but when i open it, it opens up to a lot more files and folders and another folder called epic as well.
All that to say i have noooooo ida where i need to copy paste the downloaded files for the mods.... Hoping you can help thanks again
Aye there! :) Sure, here is a great place to ask for help, alternatively you can find lots of people glad to help either on the NexusMods Forums or the NexusMods Discord :))
However, I'm pretty sure we should be able to get you up and running. So, generally, the Store you bought the game on doesn't make a difference, they are all the same game files, only their location on your PC will vary a bit. For Epic Games, the default location is C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Disney Dreamlight Valley; if you changed the default installation path, you can look it up within the EpicGames Launcher by right-clicking on the game or clicking on the (...) button, then select Manage, and then click on the little folder icon next to uninstall. In both cases you should now end up in a folder called Disney Dreamlight Valley, that contains a ddv.exe.
Your Disney Dreamlight Valley folder should now look something like this: ddv_Data BepInEx dotnet ddv.exe winhttp.dll changelog.txt baselib.dll GameAssembly.dll UnityPlayer.dll
and a few more.
After that, start your game once. Don't worry if this takes a couple minutes, it will only do so on the first time, as BepInEx will be installed, and be much faster every time from then on.
Once you're loaded into the games mainmenu, you can close it up again.
Go to the same Disney Dreamlight Valley folder as before, and open the folder called BepInEx and then plugins.
Copy the extracted mod files into this folder, so it should end up looking e.g. NoVillgeObjectLimit_BepInEx.dll ScroogeShopExtraRefresh.dll
etc.
With that done, everything should work the next time you start up your game :)
A note on the object limit; when entering furniture edit mode, it will at first still display the usual limit of X/3000 (or 6000) items, and you first need to add or remove any object for it to get updated to the new amounts. Doesn't make any difference tho, but just so you don't get confused when checking whether everything works as intended :)
Hope that helps! :) Feel free to ask again if anything should be unclear and/or not working as expected :))
hi, wow thank you so much for that very detailed explanation !! You're litterally amazing
ok so i did everything you said but i did notice some things that werent like you said example : when you said "the default location is C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Disney Dreamlight Valley that contains a ddv.exe" so yes it does have that ! but when you listed all the folders/files that are supposed to be in there i dont have all that .... this is what i have :
*putting you the names of each thing in ( ) below:
This PC -> Local Disc (C:) -> Program Files -> Epic Games -> Disney Dreamlight Valley -> (file folder) .egstore (file folder) ddv_Data (Application extension) baselib.dll (Application) ddv (Text Document) epic (Text Document) FullVersion (Application Extension) GameAssembly.dll (Application) UnityCrashHandler64 (Application Extension) UnityPlayer.dll
i do not see that dotnet etc files/folders... I have the plugins folder but its in ddv_Data (Folder)
Im trying to explain as much as i can sorry for bugging you for such a long period im trying to do things correctly and for sure writting all this down after lol And also i cannot find a way to edit the extracted files (for the mods) like example the pick up multiplier or scroogs refresh, when i edit them with notepad++ i see a bunch of stuff and omg i spent all afternoon reading every single thing in them and cannot find where i edit the time of refreshes, or the ammount of pick up etc...
No worries, I'm happy if I can help :) So yess, thats the correct folder! I didn't list all files in there, but you are 100% in the right one :) So thats good news for a start! :)
For installing individual mods, you're usually downloading a .zip archive as well, and when you open them up, you'll find a .dll file in it. These need to go into the BepInEx/plugins folder. I think most mods create the configuration files only once they are loaded by BepInEx on game startup, so you'd probably need to have that up and running before being able to adjust the settings.
Let me know if this worked for you :)
EDIT: In case you're still not really sure what to do, let me know and I'll record a short video that shows all the steps required :))
i tried everything but still it dosnt work it gives me red text at the end. I am playing through xbox games on PC ,I don't maybe that the issue. of you have any solution tell me ,thanks.

In both cases you should now end up in a folder called Disney Dreamlight Valley, that contains a ddv.exe.
You need to copy the content of the BepInEx Archive to that location, some versions of BepInEx don't work for whatever reason, but thats the one I'm using and that I know works without any issue:
https://builds.bepinex.dev/projects/bepinex_be/665/BepInEx-Unity.IL2CPP-win-x64-6.0.0-be.665%2B6aabdb5.zip
Your Disney Dreamlight Valley folder should now look something like this:
ddv_Data
BepInEx
dotnet
ddv.exe
winhttp.dll
changelog.txt
baselib.dll
GameAssembly.dll
UnityPlayer.dll

When you download BepInEx (e.g. this version: https://builds.bepinex.dev/projects/bepinex_be/665/BepInEx-Unity.IL2CPP-win-x64-6.0.0-be.665%2B6aabdb5.zip) it's gonna be a .zip archive. When you open it, it contains 2 folders and 4 files:
BepInEx
dotnet
.doorstop_version
changelog.txt
doorstop_config.ini
winhttp.dll
Copy all of them into the same folder as where the ddv.exe is in.
For installing individual mods, you're usually downloading a .zip archive as well, and when you open them up, you'll find a .dll file in it. These need to go into the BepInEx/plugins folder.

do you know if theres an updated version for the mods since the new update?
