Please use the Bugs section to report bugs. If any game-breaking bugs are found I will list them here for visibility.

Pressure Plate Bug: Try making a new save while not standing on the pressure plate, close the game, reopen game, go to mods, uncheck-recheck the mod, click activate, reload game and load the save.

Unusable Shovel Bug: Try what's listed under "shovel don't work" in the bugs section here.

I cant get in to ragequins tomb in the begining of the tutorial area. the pressure plate that ussually opens the door just isnt doing anything. since ive never played epic encounters before is this something different that is meant to hapen is there another prerequisite for getting here? or is it broken? thanks

You may have downloaded it on the Enhanced Edition game page if it thinks you haven't downloaded the one here.

Found this on the Steam forums.
You can just make a new save while not standing on the pressure plate, close the game, reopen game, go to mods, uncheck-recheck epic encounters, click activate, reload game and it should work.

Am I able to replace one version of the mod with another? like playing first in BTV and then changing it for the Tactician 50%+ health one?

Edit. just checked, and it seems like you can

I think the only thing that may cause issues it if you switch 6man.

Of note for Linux chads, the dir for the `Mods` folder is (incredibly profoundly frustraitingly) placed at ~/Larian Studios/Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition/Mods, not ~/Documents/Larian Studios/Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition/Mods

And unlike other mods, the fact that this file is just xc_encounters instead of the XC_Encounters that you'll see it should be if you crack open the .pak doesn't seem to matter. But be aware that with other mods it's gonna bite you, because they're very bad and inconsistent on keeping proper cases

Having problem adding Balidor to a party. Got Jahan and Madora so far but Balidor won't join. It says that my party is already full.

Bairdotr? Yeah several people have posted about the 6 man not working for some reason. Did you download XC_Encounters 6Man or XC_Encounters 6Man BTV? I've been using BTV and have had no problems.

Test a shovel on a grave or buried treasure and see if it works. If not, the mods isn't loading properly. Check the file locations under Uninstallation to see if each file is where it's supposed to be and that the mod is enabled under the in-game mod menu.

      • english.xml under Data\Localization\English folder.
      • CYS_Wolgraff.charScript, Jahan.charScript, Madoc.charScript, SAC_Bairdotr.charScript, and desktop.ini under Data\Public\Main\Scripts folder.
      • Requirements.txt under Data\Public\Shared\Stats\Generated\Data folder.
      • xc_encounters_08883d92-3f51-4491-8c29-6567ead0147.pak under Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition\Mods folder

Already deleted my previous game and trying again. Shovel worked in previous game. My mod when activated at first said  XC_Encounters (1.2.0.1), now after save is (1.1.9.5)
All other files are there as well but there more files for different regions and voice files in Localization.

      I changed NPC's order and still can't get more than 2 NPC's.
Madora won't join as 3rd NPC.

That's odd that the version is changing. It should always be 1.2.0.1, and it's never changed on mine, and I've tried both the 6Man and 6Man_BTV versions. Without knowing which

The localization files are all the translations to other languages that are built into the game, the one in the English folder is the unpacked file from the mod that overwrites the packed file from the game. It looks like all that file does is add the startup message saying XC Encounters is loaded though.

I just tried both the 6Man and 6Man BTV versions on new saves and was able to recruit Madora, Bairdotr, and Jahan, then Bairdotr, Jahan, and Madora no problem. If you can zip your profile folder from Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition\PlayerProfiles
, upload it somewhere and send me a link (you can DM it if you want) I can load it up and see if your saves work on my install.

In the meantime you can create a new profile named Revan7even (need to for the game to even search for the folder), download my profile and drop it in that same PlayerProfiles folder, load one of the early saves and see if you can recruit party members.

As the original author of XC_Bags, I have removed both XC_Bags mods from the Nexus, because I am completely against their new policy of robbing mod authors of their work and iindirectly claiming it as theirs.

This will open the door for scummy people (AND the Nexus itself) to start making money with it.

XC_Bags was made for the community and nobody should EVER make money with it. (And I do NOT approve of donation begging either.)

For this reason, I'd prefer that the XC_Bags portion of the mod to be removed from this mod.

If you decline this request, I have no chance to do anything against it. But please be aware the the Nexus has opened the door for worst scum to start robbing gamers using the work of others.

(In my opinion, it will not take much longer until access to the Nexus itself will be behind a paywall. More so since there are rumors that the Nexus might be sold off. It already happened in the past that downloading a mod requires a Nexus account, when it was not necessary in the beginning, unless a mod was huge. Mods locked behind paying will follow.)

Hello FrauBlake, I'm sorry to hear that. I assume this has to do with the recent collections announcement.

My stance is they told us how they would work two years ago. It's a mod list like S.T.E.P. that is automated through the API, something many people have been asking and waiting for. I would love to have saved hundreds of hours that I spent trying to get mods to work, or to instead share it easily to save other people time without me putting in even more work by making a S.T.E.P.-like page.
Nexus Mods would be suicidal to try and do any monetization of files or collections. We saw how that went with Steam Workshop's paid mods. Nexus Mods TOS has no ownership claim of anyone's files, they cannot legally monetize the access or distribution of user's files, neither can any site user or third party, including through collections. If they sell the site and change TOS (which could happen, but I don't believe will happen until the owners retire), then I'll admit you were right.

If that is the stance you have taken though, I respect your right to request that of me. However as this is Smarmbot's merge and I merely reuploaded it and have no experience with the mod tools, I can't remove XC_Bags from it, and can only remove the entire mod from the Nexus, at which point I would leave a link to the 6 Man Party Epic Encounters merge, which is the more up to date and is a cleaner merge of what this would be without XC_Bags. Just say the word.

Thanks for giving me permission to share on your Steam page (don't forget to remove the discussion and links) and pointing me in the direction of Smarmbot so I could get his permission and the files from him.

      No problem.

TL/DR: Leave it up here as-is if you like. I just want to make a point *against* human greed.

I personally did however remove the standalone mods and I'm not willing to re-upload them here.
(They are still in the Steam Workshop and seem to be free there, and if I ever find an alternative platform with reliable integrity and which does not smell like "money grabbing", and if I find enough motivation, I shall upload them there. Steam is also where I still try to answer questions and help players to the best of my knowledge,)

I've read about people basically selling collections, not on the Nexus directly but on different social media kind of platforms.
(I don't exactly know these platforms because I don't want to have anything to do with any kind of social media.)

This whole greed and desire to grab "the easy money" just makes me sick and I personally don't want to be a part of it.

As mentioned before, if you want to keep it, keep it. It is meant for the players after all. Hopefully free of ANY charge and also free of ANY donation begging (which really bothers me as well).

It would however make me really sad, if I had to read someday about some scum robbing money from uninformed players, using stuff somebody else made and that was NEVER intended as a tool for the infinite greed of humanity ...

And yes, it does have to do with the recent announcement.

After all I've read, I don't really trust the Nexus anymore. The notification sounded more like marketing than anything else. I passionately hate marketing, because if any merketing person says/writes something, it is a lie, and even if they don't say anything, it's a lie.

I've read about people basically selling collections, not on the Nexus directly but on different social media kind of platforms.
That sounds more like selling mod packs, assets and all, since I don't think Vortex/Nexus collections are even implemented yet. Supposedly actual collections that use Vortex can only be used through the Nexus site, but we'll see if someone finds a workaround, since I imagine anything like MO2 could potentially use collections through the API. The short of it is, whatever is most convenient, people will gravitate towards. That's why Steam Workshop is popular, you just subscribe and it will keep it up to date for you. I'm not a fan personally because I like to have more control than that and don't have the bandwidth to have stuff always updating automatically. If Nexus collections (vortex downloading and installing for you for you) are more convenient than a mod pack (downloading and installing an archive with assets the authors may not have given permission to use) from a 3rd party that may charge you money, people will go to Nexus Mods. If Nexus starts charging money or requiring a subscription, well then I'll join the riots.

If you need another place to upload, there's ModDB.

Well, as said before, keep it up if you want to.

I'm just not content with the Nexus move because it leaves the "money grabbing taste".
      However, that's just me ...

... It already takes me more than 5 minutes to enter these few lines, simply because the "oh so awesome new Nexus" is done by absolute s#*! programmers who remove focus from this edit window almost every second.
I simply don't want to use a huge spy machine like Chrome, I want to use an alternative browser. Keeping to the standards of HTML 5, CSS 3 and Javascript cannot be THAT hard.
(Yes, Nexus really pisses me off currently.)

The more I'd write, the more angry I'd get due to this sites s#*! functionality.
So I'll stop here with a "keep it".

It's very surreal to hear people rant about paid mods, corporate greed, "spyware", forced distributors, bad programming, and paywalls who pull their mods down from Nexus and hide them on Steam. Collections on Nexus are like games on steam, you may think you own the content but you don't.

I hate Steam with a passion, purchasing games through them gives them the authority to threaten your investment in gaming. If I purchase games through Steam and they do something I disagree with, say... add adult content or paid mods (just examples), I can't do anything to protest, they control my entire investment in gaming. You feel that way about Nexus, only difference is that Nexus doesn't own my games, just my mods and it's not like I can't post my mods on another site, but I can't take my games to another distributor. Steam's overlay and forced launch setup always cause issues with modding, using Mod Organizer with Fallout 4 has been a real hurdle, not to mention their store page has been acting up lately and it's another needless program running in the background. Can only imagine the datamining that steam does with their program always running on your computer. I imagine Steam is worse than Chrome in that regard.

I find it odd you have issues with Nexus but seem perfectly fine with a monstrosity like Steam. If you dumped on all of it you'd make a lot more sense.

    Hello,

I am sorry to bother, but first, thanks for adding these mods together. It's a real life saver.

My question is if you could add one more?I'm a complete noob, and was hoping to get one more mod in here to make my playthrough perfect. If not I understand.

Thanks again for these mod merges though!

I didn't merge these, I simply got permission and the files from the original creator to reupload them since he moved on. I'm afraid I don't know how to make or merge mods for D:OS. But I'm glad I'm not the only one who missed these though :)

It's not my mod, it's just a reupload with permission from the original author. I'm afraid I don't know how to use D:OS's modding tools. I assume it's a script though, so if anyone could point me at the file with AI leveling that this changes, I could possibly make a version that reverts it to the original leveling. No promised though.
