some dispel skill for regen and a meaning to remove some pesky statuses (cripple, decaying touch, KNOCK DOWN, disease...) without sacrificing (health/armor, poisoned status) would be nice
This sounds very dismissive of the fact I created this mod so that there WOULD be a poison spell whose primary goal is to HEAL an undead character in this game. Please either offer some supporting details as to which other poison spells do the same thing, do it BETTER, or, you know, just use any combination of words to formulate the MANNERS that are already present in this (ENGLISH) language. =)
There are already Poison Dart, Contamination, Poison Wave, and a few more. I have never found a need for a spell like yours because these already to the trick. Any necromancy spell can also heal you, as well as the lifesteal you get from putting points in necromancy. And outside of combat you have the bedroll.
Still, this does sound like a nice spell. Makes sense for there to be a poison spell that work like this.
I have been mistaken all this time, to think that Poison Damage caused damage and THEN poisoned (I.E., You inflicted non-healing damage, and then you were poisoned, recouping the damage and then some.) You have taught me something to fill in the void of my ignorance, thanks! Regarding VenomRegen There are still some factors that make this skill significantly viable when compared with others for example:
> "0" Memory Slots. | (vs. "1" for All Other Skills) > "0" Geomancer Requirement. | (vs. "1" for Poison Dart, "1" Contamination, "2" Poison Wave) > "4" turns POISONED. | (vs. "3" for Poison Dart, "2" Contamination) > "1" AP Cost. | (vs. "2" for Poison Dart, "2"Poison Wave) > "3" turn Cooldown. | (vs. "4" Poison Dart, "4" Poison Wave)
All in all, I just wanted one spell to be able to do the job more accessible, and that's where "Poisonous Regeneration" came to be. I can, however, appreciate the Poison puddles and clouds those other skills make though. If I were Undead (or a party of Undead), I'd make the whole world around me soaked in poison puddles and clouds lol
Huh. Ok. Well no, poison dmg is poison dmg. It's just that anything that deals poison dmg will also apply the "poisoned" effect as a bonus (if the target's Magic Armor is down).
You have some good points about Venomous Regeneration though.
Awesome work, just what I needed for my Fane!! :D Only minor detail is the skill icon.. It's quite different aesthetically from the rest of Divinity's icons.. I've made one that you can freely use which in my opinion is a bit closer to the rest of them. I can send it to you, pm me if you're interested. :)
