This is a really great mod, makes the game look and run better for the BFG edition. My one gripe is that I still can't use cheats and get achievements. Cheating in DOOM is so much fun but having the achievements disabled no matter what is disheartening. I don't really understand the source code stuff, so if there's a way in there I haven't found it. But I can confirm this works for the BFG edition, since someone else asked.
EDIT: I'm near the end of the game, but I've noticed that periodically when I go to save it'll crash instead. I don't know if that's BFG itself at fault or if it's this somehow. BFA is the only thing I'm using, so it's either one or the other.
definitely a quality of life mod, fixes the full screen and alt tab problems (which for me is very annoying not being able to alt tab) and give more options to better graphics, note: rename DoomBFA.exe to Doom3BFG.exe if you want the game to open on steam normally and count hours of play. For some reason you can't get the achievements...perhaps the only negative point of this mod.
Plug and play controller support doesn't seem to work for me for some reason. Right after first install I could get it to function, but now every time I attempt to play with a controller, it just spams many random inputs at once. Tried resetting the controller config, but nothing seems to fix it. Controller is a standard XBOX wired controller. Version is BFG edition.
Edit: seems this is caused, somehow, by steam controller support (despite it being disabled for DOOM 3 in the settings). Closing Steam fixes the weird input bugs.

version 1.2.7 audio is perfectly fine.
P.S.: Sorry for the VERY late response
