I'd been having the greyed-out icons problem that some other posters mentioned, couldn't find the folders that were supposed to hold the copied files, and when I made those folders myself, nothing was fixed, but with some searching I found this:
Steam\steamapps\common\Dragon Age Ultimate Edition\addins\ASCL_Kurapica\core\data
Pasting the files that were supposed to go in: Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\Addins\ASCL_Kurapica\Core\Data in the new folder instead seems to have fixed the issue for me.
I am using the DAO Mod Manager, which might have been the culprit.
OK my issue turns out to be specific to the awakenings mage abilities, base game ones work fine, if my rogue uses it it removes all of his mage talents, but Morrigan (a mage) can do them and they're not removed. I'm not sure what I've done wrong because it used to work and on said old save it still does work 🤔
Update: I managed to make it so that they (the awakenings mage abilities) stay on the rogue but now they don't work. It seems they can either work or move all my mage abilities off the talent bar. 🙃 fingers crossed I can solve it if I keep tinkering. the place I put the awakenings files is definitely "Dragon Age\packages\Addins\core\data", right?
Hi everybody. So I want to like this mod, I really do, but my current issue is whenever I'm a warrior and use a mage talent, all of the mage talents in my quickbar disappear. My character still has them in the talent page, and I can reassign them to my quickbar no problem, however it is a huge pain to have to do that every time I just activate one ability. The same thing happens if I am a mage using a warrior or rogue talent. Warriors using Rogue talents seem to have no problem, its just the mage stuff. Am I missing a step in installation somewhere?
Edit: I did more research and yeah, to simplify, Rogues and Warriors have no problems with each other's talents but instead have problems with Spells and vice versa for Mages. I still haven't found my fix. I also found that my mage can't seem to hold the modes available from talents. They can execute the single use abilities, but again, once i use any talent, all talents disappear from my Mage's Quickbar.
I know this was from ages ago but I was having this issue just now. If anyone else is having this problem install the "optional override" download, place it in your override folder and just in case call it "zz All Can Learn" to make sure it loads last. That solved this issue for me.
Update: That didn't completely fix the issue ignore me
for all having the "stop fighting" problem, install ever more advanced tactics mod. After this...now all my companions use the correct behaviour, exept the controlled one, i have 56 slot tactis and the new feautre added by that mod is interesting. For me work well, i have some mod installed and NOT (yet) awakening.
for kurapica great mod, i always use this when reinstall dragon age. 2 thing: is possible a "no free spec" version? a version that unlock for all class only base talents and, after the normally spec are normally unlocked, only the spec's talent? at last, prevent the talent/spell page to became too full of things that are not used? And, in this way, the class choice continues to be significant because it will only have access to talents of the two specializations unlocked, and not at all (a mage-Templar?) second, is possibile add a fix for the rogue? sword/shield, 2handed i mean? anyway, i love this mod!
Hi everyone does anyone help me about this mod? Like about changing some specializations on my Pretty and Lovely Warrior :) ? want the change Spirit Healer, Shapeshifter and Blood Mage to Bard, Duelist and Assasin or Ranger specializions please someone help me for it. ?s there any console commands like adding Rouge class code aka runscript addtalent 4020 like that?
i can use spells as a rogue or warrior but they only appear as a grey window in the UI and don't have any effects does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
Ok I feel the IMPORTANT instructions are horribly flawed some how because there is no addin folder to be found, are we supposed to just make it ourselves? are some of the Kurapica files supposed to go in there? This doesn't make any sense. I can find the files just fine but not the FOLDERS. Can some one actually explain what's expected here?
I've tried installing the mod both with NMM, and DAO Modmanager.
I've installed the optional override version since I can't get the dazip versions to work properly any longer and as such there is no addin folder, so I got it to work by copying all of the mentioned files directly into \Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override\AllSpellCanLearn
this is weird, whenever I add any DAZIP or manually install DAZIP files, the basic mage tree (primal, spirit, entropy, creation) disappears from all classes except the mage itself
because of this, my mod selection has been limited to "add to override folder" only
is anyone else facing this issue? is there a fix for this?
I don't know what's happening, I have played with this mod off and on for literally nearly 10 years and its always worked pretty well (last time I successfully used it was in 2017) and now all of a sudden when my rogue tries to cast the major spells like Inferno, it fizzles out, like its failed. Blizzard works, but Inferno, Tempest and Death Cloud do not work. They just fizzle. And likewise, when I make a rogue character and I try to use Whirlwind, I get the spinning with two blades animation, but it does no damage at all. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong? I have always successfully been able to use all of the spells with my rogue characters with this mod before, so I HAVE to be doing something different than I usually do.
