IDK back then, but in 2025 it's easier, no downloading needed:
- create DAOrigins.exe shortcut - right-click on it, select properties - add to location (or whatever it's called now in english) -enabledeveloperconsole
On my example, I turned this: "E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Dragon Age Ultimate Edition\bin_ship\DAOrigins.exe"
into this: "E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Dragon Age Ultimate Edition\bin_ship\DAOrigins.exe" -enabledeveloperconsole
Okay then it worked! Hazaa! now how do i turn OFF the console? like, i hit F7 and it activates i enter a code and the script fires i gain levels and i hit F7 again and it doesn't turn off. i hit all the usual buttons Esc. ~, enter, F7 nothing works. the little ( > ) thing at the corner of the screen doesn't go away.
Edit NM figured it out, kind of. Just type AAA or whatever it'll say that isn't a command and then it'll slowly fade away and you'll get control back. kind of a roundabout way of doing it, i mean you should just hit the console button again and it should shut off but whatever. :/
I just used Angel's command visibility mod ( https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/1110?tab=description ) then keybinded the command using this website ( https://commands.gg/dao/blog/console-help ) and worked just fine.
I am using Steam - Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition
this wasnt meant for american extensions was it?.. it wont work, and theres no root to implement the mod, even through the directions. if youre going to make this mod, the least you can do is make a universal one.
Please tell me how you did it, Just downloaded the Game on windows 10, my shortcut on the desk won't even work because of fmodex.dll, I've downloaded everything and did everything but it just won't work
I have a laptop MSI windows 10, So I don't have the "destination" bit I downloaded the launcher, the keybinding and the other mod to make console visible. I extracted them in the files they belong to, I changed the button to F8 to open the console, but none of it works.

I was desperate but now the console command is operational.
