There does appear to be a few bugs with the dwarf noble mage origin, most notably I could not participate in the proving myself. Every time I tried it would not trigger the next scene after I defeated the first opponent, leaving me stuck in the arena. I was forced to reload and choose the option to just watch instead. The other thing I noticed was not really unique to just this mod, but a few different armor mods I've tried as well, where equipping the Vestments of the Seer robe that you can start with after beating Witch Hunt resulted in glitchy hands (female dwarf at least, have no tested male). This was a minor bug but thought I would mention it.

Realized the struck out portion was NOT caused by this mod, but rather a bug in the base game that has to do with the order you do things in.

I like this mod quite a bit and I noticed something; when my Human Male Noble Cousland tries to arrange a marriage between him and Anora, Anora says "She can't marry a mage, even as a consort; the people wouldn't accept it."

What happens in the city elf origin when Soris normally slides your character a sword? Do you still get a sword at that point?

You dont need one. The stats of the staffs before level 12 are honestly negligable

As someone else mentioned, where are the "alistair_main" dialogue files? I only see the morrigan ones. If ever i don't remove the alistair ones, what dialogue will it affect in qwin's fixpack for example?

So, in my own (admittedly convoluted) background story, my Human Noble character was taken to the Tower, trained as a Mage, and then (because of the Cousland's political power and sway) was allowed to return home...where the events of the Human Noble Origin story take place...I kinda pretend that the second half of the Mage Origin doesn't really happen...lol...basically, is there a way to have both a Highever Noble background, and be recognized as a Mage from the Tower

It seems that this mod break Wynne's nightmare in the fade. The battle did commence but then... nothing. The next scene did not trigger. This did not happen when I unchecked the mod.

Wish i read your comment earlier. Now i have to restart the circle without wynne.... 5 hours...

*1 minute fix, just remove wynne's files and put it back in after her fade quest. All working. Great mod!

I was wondering what caused that, and it makes sense as this was the most recent mod added. I ended up skipping her nightmare and forcing her into the boss battle with the selectparty console command, but doing that caused other bugs later.

Still, I just wanted to do one run as a Dalish mage so I'm satisfied with the mod as it is.

Will this mod give your Warden the option to go to the circle tower to help Conner or do you still need to bring Morrigan along with you in order to get that option?

You need Morrigan there or Jowan{you have to free him} since a Mage Warden from the Circle doesn't do that

I guess it's probably a conflict with Improved Atmosphere but my human noble mages start naked and without any weapons or armor (other than the ones from the DLC).

Edit: I removed Improved Atmosphere (too many conflicts with other things) but still my mages of any race start naked and weaponless.

If you installed Non-circle Mage with Dwarves like I did. Try downloading the Non-Circle Mage Origin Manual Installation 1.01 and use the "default_hm_noble_m.utc" file from that version. Drag it into the UTC folder In you override->Non-Circle Mage Origin Dwarves->UTC and replace the file. That fixed the character not starting with the high-end Tevinter robes for me.

This works really well apart from the occasional reference to you being from the Circle (there's a mod for that here: https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/1990).
With regards to Wynne and getting stuck in the Fade forever there is this mod, "Leave Wynne behind": https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/4475
It lets you swap her out of the party after she removes the barrier for you, so its great in two ways because it solves the Fade/stuck problem and the Wynne/terrible problem
Anyway, love this mod, thank you @yourinquisitorialness

For the most part it works great with few minor issues like the ferryman treating you as if you came from a mage origin. But there can be bigger issues with this mod as well like having to skip rescuing Wynne in the Fade because that lead to me being trapped for all eternity in the Fade. So yeah, the mod is great but it IS a gamble. Save regularly.
