Please use the older version of Dalishious's Skin Tints, the files needed are in that older version not in the newer one. https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/4619
If you are having trouble figuring out how to manually edit the Chargenmorph file to add in the hairs, please check out the tutorial Risibisi made (the modder of the hair files), it should help https://mrs-risibisi.tumblr.com/Installation.
If you are missing the gold eye texture, you can find a separate textures file in the optional download section.
The most likely cause of your issue is definitely the hair, the hair mod I used had an update recently. The modder redid some of the hairs & in the process the file names were changed. So if you downloaded the hairs for the preset recently, the file name for the hair doesn't match the preset any more. So you have a few options, you can rechange the file names of the hairs to what I have listed in the mod or you can use the gyf editor to rename the hair files, it is a pretty simple fix.
This is the hair mod I used which also should be listed in the download https://mrs-risibisi.tumblr.com
and a link to the gyf editor https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/4512
If you just downloaded the hairs a few days ago then that is the reason your game is crashing. I made these presets like two years ago or something & the hairs have been updated since then. So, all you need to do is rename the hair files to what I have listed or change the hair files name to the new name with the gyf editor.
If the game is crashing then there is a problem with the chargenmorph file, when you use cosmetic mods you need to make sure they are all compiled together using https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/971 & you want to double check to make sure anything manually added is correct. If one thing is incorrect in the chargenmorph file it can cause the game to crash in the character creation screen.
The presets themselves wouldn't cause a crash since they just replace the default vanilla faces, so it must be the hairs. Did you input the hairs correctly into the chargenmorph file? They have to be manually added in & if it isn't done correctly that could be the source of the crash. The presets & everything are working fine on my end, so I'm thinking there is an issue with your chargenmorph file.
Also just had a thought, the modder who makes the hairs had recently updated them & sometimes they change the name of the hair file so it could be that the hair file names aren't matching the older names that were used in the file. If you downloaded the hairs recently that could be it, if you rename the hairs to what I have listed that could maybe fix it.
Love these presets, but I'm not sure why I'm getting the glossy eyes and grey lines this time around. I don't think I'm missing anything. Only other cosmetic mods I have (other than the ones required for this) are MB skins and one of the Hairald of Andraste braids I liked. :/
More than likely you are missing a tint or texture, you will want to double check that you have all of the files associated with the required complexions & tints. My presets don't conflict with anything, so shouldn't be a compatibility issue. If it is the gold eye texture you are missing you can download it from the files tab it is the "Just the Textures" download.
Long explanation: Under 23022 MORPH_TEXTURES: 5 TEX pn_eye_khgold_0d The file that the morph loads as the eye texture is not provided within the mod's texture folder nor is it listed anywhere as an external requirement.
I just forgot to add the texture in the download by mistake, it has now been corrected. You can find the missing gold eye texture in the optional downloads section. Have a good day :-D
Can someone tell me how to install this? There is a section in the ReadMe file that says ; "Adding the hairs to the chargenmorph manually, in the female elf hair section place these lines and save."
What's that supposed to mean what does "adding hairs to chargenmorph manually" mean?
I installed the required hair mods from the ReadMe and now what?
Do you know where your chargenmorph file is? If you ever downloaded a cosmetic mod it would have a chargenmorph file included in it which has a bunch of html code in it that you can edit manually or you can compile them all together with the chargenmorph compiler. To edit it manually you just need to open it up in Note and in the section for Female Elf Hairs you would add a few lines to the section that have the name of the hair in it.
Feel like im doing something wrong, but im not getting your morphs to override the bioware ones? I put the unzipped folder in my override folder, no dice. I redownloaded it and it didn't work, so i took out all the items from the main download loose into the override, but still not working. I feel like im missing something?
Are you putting it in the override folder located in My Documents? C:\Users\[your username]\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Packages\Core\Override <- I ask because some platforms like Steam have an additional override folder for some games and that isn't where my mods go.
Have you made sure you only have one chargenmorph file in your override folder? Sometimes if you have a few of those in there it can prevent some of the mods from showing up in the character creator, I would run the Chargenmorph compiler just to be safe to make sure everything is combined.
Yep, made sure it was in the correct override folder (i also have your human female replacer which works great!) and ran the compiler again for chargen to make sure i have only the one. Still for some reason isn't replacing the default faces with your lovely ones (i ran through all the faces to be sure they didn't somehow end up in the middle, but still not there)
Weird. Maybe i can manually put them in the chargen file to show up somehow?
Hmmm, that is so weird it should work, another option would be to name the mop files and put them manually into your chargenmorph. Doing it this way would still let you have access to the default faces and mine. I can't think of what may be the issue, something like this is usually a mod conflict, but if you don't have any other female elf mop heads it shouldn't be an issue.
I'll give that a try and see how it goes! Yeah, im stumped as well, but i have an overwhelming amount of mods stuffed into my game so there maybe a conflict im just not seeing, ultimately! thanks for getting back to me- love your mods!
edit: the renaming worked and now i have your faces in my game! hurray!
Thank you! And I'm glad to hear the renaming worked and you can use the presets. I know how that is about having a ton of mods, DAO just has so many good ones it is hard to keep track of what is in the override folder.
these are beautiful presets, i was just wondering if youre using something to make their bodies bigger? when im making one i think their heads are too big for their bodies :c
Nope, I didn't do anything to the bodies at all, these are just mop files. It could be the display of your game, I have my graphics at full resolution and my screen is full.
Gorgeous! Have downloaded and installed in my already stupidly large collection of styles and presets, just waiting for that inevitable new playthrough. :-D
PS: head 5 looks a lot like Alexandra Daddario. Might not have been your intention, but well done all the same!
The presets look beautiful, but I cannot open the file. When I attempt to unzip the file, I receive an error message that "The archive is either in unknown format or damaged."
Thank you! I'm sorry to hear you are having an issue. Sadly, this isn't a problem with the mod but more than likely your download was corrupted. This sometimes happens with zip files and the best bet is to redownload the file again. If you are using WinRar and are getting this issue, you can try another Unzip software program called 7Zip and that works as well, both programs are free to download https://www.7-zip.org/ & https://www.win-rar.com/start.html?&L=0.
I just downloaded the file myself and can confirm that it is indeed working just fine and there are no problems.
Hopefully, redownloading or using another program might help.
?Thank for you response! I redownloaded the file, tried 7zip and was able to open the file. It appears to have all of thee components (the Textures folder was missing when I tried opening the file using WinRAR). However, it appears that only one of the presets shows in the CC. It looks like only the eyelashes change when moving through the presets. But it's probably just me not setting things up correctly! Thanks again for a lovely mod!
The hairs are all from the same modder, so yeah you should be able to download the full mod from Risibisi’s Nexus page, I believe all the hairs I used are included. The file names for the hairs are the same.
Just tested it out and 4 of the 6 hairs are included in The Hairald of Andraste downloads here on the nexus. The 2 hairs that are not included (and therefore must be downloaded from the tumblr links) are ef_har_NC_Sangrita_0 and ef_har_NCBreakFree_0. Those are the 3rd and 4th presets, respectively.
Also, a minor thing I noticed is that the skin tones and eye colors do not quite match the screenshots you have. It's not far off (and I can provide screenshots if you're curious), so it might just be a brightness setting or reshade thing. Or I managed to install something improperly. Otherwise, though, it looks great and works great now after doing a little bit of detective work on those hair files.
Thanks for letting me know. The eye tints shouldn’t look too different because they are attached to the eye texture files I used. As for skintones, I used BioWare’s for almost all of the skintones save a for a few exceptions. For hair colors I used BioWares defaults as well. If you are using a mod like PineappleTree Vibrant Colors or True Colors Redux, those mods have default color replacers, meaning they override the game’s default. Also I use SJC’s Patchy Skin fix.
I have a high resolution monitor and my graphics settings on ultra. Plus, I use a mod that changes the lighting in the character creation screen. So, there are definitely many reasons why they would appear slightly different lol. When I first started making mods it was on an older computer, all of my mods ended up looking better as I upgraded my display.

Here is a really great tutorial from the modder whose hairs I used for this mod, I hope it helps you out.

To be clear, this will work if I just fully install The Hairald of Andraste from the nexus, correct? ( https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/3620 )
Your 'mods required' file points to many individual tumblr links, but I'm assuming the full package here on the nexus includes all of these?
(I have the face, eye color, and skin color mods installed as well)
And thank you:-)
