There are high cunning dialogue options throughout the game. There’s one in the conversation you have with the man pretending to be Brother Genitivi’s assistant (in addition to a medium cunning option that only requires fifteen points). There’s one in the conversation you have with Alistair about marrying Anora. There’s probably others.
Thanks for the answer, I always play a medium (16) cunning character because of the Coercion checks, So I never knew there were checks that my characters couldn't pass
Quick question! Im not sure if I did something wrong or what but the ring gives me the 15 points of cunning and my character sheet shows I have over 30 points in it but when I level up it wont let me select the next level of coercion because I dont have enough cunning. The coercion isnt really that big of a deal but I was wondering if the dialog options are still going to pop up? Thank you for this mod its really cool!
Unfortunately, the attribute requirements for skills and talents ignore bonuses from gear. (Thankfully, you can get five points of cunning in the Fade.) But the ring does work in conversations—one of the dialogue options in the screenshot would be hidden if my Warden wasn’t wearing it.
I assume you’re talking about the multiclass ring—the original can also be equipped by warriors. And I’d rather not. On a mage, the extra points in cunning don’t affect combat. But if a warrior could equip the multiclass ring, they’d have access to Lethality.
A fresh playthrough would certainly be the easiest way. Once an item is in your inventory, changing its properties is… difficult. You could try destroying it and then recreating it, using the console command mentioned in an earlier comment. You could also try disabling the Memory Band DLC, loading and saving the game, and then re-enabling the DLC. I hope one of those works for you.
Hey, thanks for the reply! I tried both methods and sadly neither worked. I guess that means I have to save the mod for my next playthrough... I'll leave this comment here as a warning for others who may come after me :)
You’re very welcome! I actually created the multiclass ring because Lock Bash doesn’t let you disarm traps, so it doesn’t fully eliminate the need for a rogue. I’m glad to hear that other people find it useful.
Thank you so much for making this mod. It always annoyed me that my character would miss out on dialogue because of my cunning being to low. But just one thing, I can't seem to find the memory band in the game. I put the folder in my override folder and started a new game and can't find the memory band anywhere. I also checked my attributed just to see and they are unaffected. Is there something I am doing wrong?
Actually, it adds more (forty-five instead of fifteen). According to the wiki, you need seventy points in cunning to open every lock in the game without putting points in the Deft Hands talents (which obviously mages can’t do).
