One MIGHT argue that technically, being born on the surface and in that regard a real surface dwarf, Varric shouldn't have this. In fact, in my DA rpg table top games, I let dwarves get this magic resistance bonus regardless whether they are surface dwarves or not, but the "stone sense" surface dwarves do not get (which is, more or less, an "internal compass" making them better suited for underground travel than humans). :-) Which is why e.g. Varric is quite uncomfortable in caves (he says so in DAI). Testing, testing...
....seems to be working fine, at least the magic resistance thing. Must start a new game to test the other changes I think.
heh, fair point. Though there's other dwarves and at least some might have the potential of having spent a lot of their life underground. :P
Admittedly, I haven't done any real testing mid-game, just debugged myself to places from a fresh new game with runscript zz_dae_debug. For an initial test if it worked at all, I just jacked human STR up to +90 and that maxed it out for both Hawke and Bethany so I concluded, this must work in principle. :P

A welcome addition. Endorsed. :-)
