If you have an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" Frosty error, you have not installed the required Bioware Localization Plugin or have not installed it correctly. Known Issues This section outlines issues I cannot fix. I do not count these as bugs as they are intended/known, and I have tried to fix them. Please read this section as I provide temporary fixes.

1# Mirror of Transformation Slider Glitch Description: Your face data will change when you enter the Mirror of Transformation creator in the Black Emporium. Why? As I do not understand facial UsageHashes, I cannot find a way for the game to store the new facial data added by the mod. Therefore, when you enter the Black Emporium, the game will revert them to default/random values. Temporary Fix: Please take screenshots of your Inquisitor when creating them for the first time. This will allow you to copy them over quickly. This is an excellent guide on how to replicate them perfectly. Temporary Fix #2: Additionally, as of version 9.1.0, I have included a Reset New Sliders function which, instead of resetting the entire face, will reset the new sliders - this will make recreation much faster. 2# Strange Presets/Faces Example Image Description: The preset faces in character creation appear weird. Why? Related to the Mirror of Transformation Slider Glitch. The face presets work the same way as saved data. Therefore, no data is kept for the new sliders in the presets. Temporary Fix: I have included the face reset sliders; this will allow you to reset all sliders to 0, allowing you to edit a blank face. #3 DirectX Error [Frosty Only] Example Image Description: A DirectX Function error will occur when you load my mod through Frosty, Why? Bundle editing - a method I use to add locked textures causes this glitch. It does not occur in DAIMOD because bundle editing is impossible; therefore, DAIMOD does not have this issue/file. Temporary Fix: I have made versions of this mod without bundle editing. If this error occurs, please use a DirectX error version. #4 Incorrect Slider Names Example Image Description: The game has incorrectly labelled lines of text. Why? String (text) editing in Inquisition causes this issue because it is experimental. Temporary Fix: With this issue, I now include two files of this mod. One is the text editing, and the other is the core version of this mod. To avoid this issue, you can safely uninstall the sliders file unless you reenter character creation. #5 Incorrect Translation I have not translated this mod to other languages other than English. Therefore, other languages will not reflect the correct translation.

frosty mod manager says it has the bioware localization plugin version 1.1.1.1 and it has a check mark DifficultyWeaponTableDataPlugin 1.0.0.0 also with check mark FsLocalization Loader 1.0.1.1 here it shows an ! mark MeshSet Editor 1.0.1.0 check mark Swbf2 Gameplay Merger 1.0.1.0 check mark.

Anyone who can help? am i missing something or doing something wrong?
I had similar issues when I first started modding DAI. I could NOT get mods to work at all and tried so many things that I can't entirely recall exactly what fixed it. Between Steam and EA and Frosty, it's a whole adventure getting everything to cooperate.
Things to try: -small tip to make it easier to tell if mods *are* working without having to get all the way to the character creator: install Speed Launch and/or a font mod. Now if you see the Bioware/DA logo screens or the menu font is the normal one, you know they're not working. That was a lifesaver when I was tinkering around trying to get stuff working. -Make sure you set the game install path and Frosty path in FrostyFix settings and choose EA Desktop (probably, if you're using Steam) -You may need DatapathFix in addition to FrostyFix. -You'll probably need to re-run FrostyFix frequently (any new play session, esp if your computer has gone to sleep or restarted since) -At some point I found this Reddit thread in which someone linked a file (I think the links in this comment still work) with which you can replace one of the existing files in the Frosty directory. (I think the replacement file made me not need the DatapathFix plugin anymore? Anyway it did seem to make things run smoother when I was having issues launching the game.) -Also try running all the applications involved - FrostyFix, Frosty, Steam, DAI itself - as adminstrator (you can set it to do this automatically in Windows if you right click the icon, go to Properties, and the Compatibility tab).
It's still a whole process but it does work for me now. -Open FrostyFix, click Launch with Mods Enabled -That doesn't actually launch the game, only an EA app window, close that (There is a checkbox in the FrostyFix settings to launch the game through Frosty but that never worked for me.) -Open Frosty, click Launch -Click yes on UAC prompt and Steam prompt -Close Steam, wait for EA to open game, game finally launches
1. Are you using Frosty or DAIMOD? Frosty 2. What version of this mod are you using? Standard, but tried them all 3. What patch version of this mod are you using? the latest one 4. Do you launch the game from Origin, Steam or EA App? EA App
Questions about other mods: 1. Are you using other mods? Nope 2. Are you using Frosty, DAIMODs or a combination of both? Only frosty
Questions about your issue: 1. In as much detail, describe the issue you are having. When I open the game, no matter if through Frosty or FrostyFix, the game is stuck on infinite loading screen. 2. Where/when does this issue happen. When starting the game.
I just wanted to throw out some advice for anyone that's struggling with the "Monster face" problem. Download version 8.1.1 of this mod Yes there are less features in this version, but this mod is so expansive already on this older version, you're really not going to be hurting without them.
You will still encounter a glitch, when using the mirror at the BE, the following sliders will be randomised;
Complexion
Eyebrows
Hairstyle
Sometimes can add tattoos, or turn hair shine to max
This is easy to fix and will only take a few seconds, and is far more preferable to the monster face issue that requires you to remake your inky from the begining.
This issue isn't the mod authors fault, in short, making this mod compatible with pre-sets, is difficult. They have been trying to resolve the problem, but for now, this is best work around I've found.
Going back to 8.1.1 from 9.0.2 also resets all the "shapes" to 1, as I just discovered - also lacks some features like eye vertical width so can mess up the eyes - but still much easier than starting from scratch! Thanks for the tip :D
Thanks for pointing out about what can reset when you downgrade! I started off with ver 8.1.1 after knowing the issues with 9.0.2, so didn't get the chance to spot that.
Thank you for being considerate and posting this! 8.1.1 was the version I used on my last playthrough way back when, so, I simply used it on the newest Frosty.
An excellent mod, even if it is an earlier version, and one I cannot play without!
Loving the mod, but the monster face makes it almost impossible to adjust my character in the Black Emporium, would love to know if there's a work around besides using an older version!
Unfortunatly there is no work around besides using an older version, the older versions are still amazing, work really well, and are much better than dealing with the monster face issue.
I posted a comment that details what issues you will run into when using the older version, it still resets some sliders, but thankfully only three!
Thank you so much for the help!! All I wanted was to change my inky's hair before trespasser, so the affected sliders wont be too much of an issue when swapping versions (vallaslin will be removed by then and the complexion is modded, so it will be easy to spot!)
This is a gorgeous mod, but I haven't been able to get it to work at all... I have everything it requires installed but I don't know... I do have DAImod installed but that doesnt seem to be effecting Frosty at all, I don't see anything that could be messing with it either. Could someone possibly help me with this? No matter what I do, even turning DAImod off, doesn't make it work...
Edit: I've done it in the file order, rearranged mods, even put the mods by themselves with the corresponding linked mods and nothing's working :(
If you haven't already, I would advise following the steps on the second pinned comment of this post here https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/2712?tab=posts
These steps are required to get the mod working properly.
The mod shows a monster face instead of the character, the slides have random names. in short nothing work, what i can do? i've tried all version and i have installed all req.
Does anyone have any advice/work around to change the color of the Qunari face tattoos in the character creator? I really want to give my Inq red face paint akin to the Vitaar Qunari had in DA2 but the whole "qunari only get black facepaint" thing has crushed my dreams. Is there a way I can possibly run the mod through FrostyEditor to change the base color value from black to red? </3
I'm using the 8.1.1 version to avoid the strange monster face and the messed up presets, but I really like some of the features of the new one, especially more options for editing the eyes. Wish there was a way to combine the two!
Oh wow. This is amazing. I am wondering how you added the teeth morph to the CC? I have wanted that for ages. Would you maybe have any workflow documentation for people wanting to make similar mods or tweaks to it? Totally understand if not.
