base armor Hey just wanted to let you know that the base form for the multiplayer legionnaire armor base is not there the other are but not that one sadly
Hey just want to ask and no rush or anything know there work to be done :D but just wanted to ask then do you think be fixed if is gonna be? I was looking forward to play as a dwarf with that armor in its base form :D
I am unable to install the game at the moment due to the EA Launcher, so ... I can't give you a timeframe.
Having considered the options for this mod, I think it'd be best to just make a little patch that covers the item you've highlighted. The alternative is a total rewrite - Daimods seem to need to be made from scratch each time.
As I said, however, I have to wait for an EA Launcher fix and that might take forever. /shrug
Okay, this is how it's done... First, go to the multiplayer item you want to appear on your single player model. (ignore my search box and explorer stuff on the left in the screenshots, the file you want is PART_app_armor_mp_legionnaire_01, which is linked INSIDE item_app_armor_mp_legionnaire_01).
Open up the ItemPartAppearance file and scroll to the bottom. See how there's a DelayLoadBundleHash there? Copy that to clipboard (highlight it and press ctrl+c).
Then you need to refer to this list. (Thanks Borglet!)
As you can see, I've highlighted the dwarf males. See the number on the left? That's the number we're looking for in our file. 15 and 21. It doesn't matter if you put it on the rogue as well, because dwarf male has the right skeleton for the armour.
So we want to open them up and paste our number in there.
You can see the number is 0. Select that and then paste our new number with ctrl+v to replace it.
And that's all my new mod will be. I'll now go and make it... ... and now I've done it. It's in the Miscellaneous Files section. :)
Heh, nobody uses ModMaker to edit the files anymore. You do all the work in Frosty Editor and then export the files to ModMaker to create the DAIMOD file.
Export from Frosty as .bin filetype, and import to ModMaker as EBX (it's the same) via the Debug menu on the item itself.
It's not armour, it's an enabler. it ENABLES multiplayer armour.
You can use another mod such as "Svarty's Configurable Armour"/"Svarty's Configurable Armour II" to put the multiplayer appearance on another armour schematic, but you ALSO need this (or a similar mod) to make multiplayer appearances... er... appear.
This mod copies the Multiplayer DelayLoadBundleHash (the reference to what the armour looks like) from just the multiplayer character to all characters of the same race and gender combination. For example, all Human Males get access to the Bard aka Zither costume. BUT you need another mod to get that appearance onto an armour. I know it's gibberish if you don't know how the files work, sorry. At the end of the day, when the ball is in the back of the net and the shadow is creeping over the yardarm and the sails are full mast and it's as cold as brass monkeys and a rolling stone gathers no moss whilst a bird in the hand is worth two in a bush, you can just use one of the above mods OR another mod that does something similar to make it happen.
TESTING Here is my testing register, I've spent about six hours testing these and found no further errors (at least I hope I haven't missed any), so I'm going to rebuild the DAIMOD and hope there are no other errors. AS ALWAYS, if you find errors, mistakes, bugs PLEASE PLEASE report them in the posts/comments/bugs sections of my mods!
There are gaps because my test character doesn't own every recipe (I know, me too).
