I don't thinks this works with Frosty, perhaps try a different mod?

I think I made it so you can change nearly everything. What's not working for you?

i mean in game i made the armor to templar so when i put like dragon bone the armor is up to 350

seems op since default templar with dragonbone is already extremely strong

The mod should let you  make the Armour slot size smaller.

cool mod just a quick question though

does this mod include all armors ( like the skin that shields, strikes etcetc, and the dlc armors and all that ) that you can get from the game or just the ones that are listed when configuring the mod itself? or do i need to download more than one in the download section?

Yes it does.  In effect, it's a transmog mod, with the option to seriously change the quality of the armour.

You may need to think a very little bit about what the end armour is supposed to be.  For example, The Skin That Shields is The_Skin_That_Heavy .

When downloading, the DLCs required will give you a hint of what is available as end armour; you need to adjust the mod file anyway, so you'll see.

I have all the DLC's required though and there's only like 35 armors that you can of the materials being used to craft them, ( im pretty sure my question wasnt clear sorry ) like is that normal that there's only 35 armors to which all of them are just the basic ones instead of the skin that shield, strikes that i can edit their materials and all of that yk?

also how do i actually adjust the mod file though? what to do or download?

Heed what the mod author suggests.  ;)  I tried goodness knows how many permutations to get this working in Frosty.  I could not.  Then DAIModManager worked on the first try.

    My route as follows:
    1.Unzip the file.
2.Open Svarty's Configurable Armour II.daimod in the resulting directory.
3.Follow the instructions in the "Edit this part of the mod in Notepad++" image (I used EditPad, as usual).
4.Copy the file to your DAImod directory.
    5.Install via DMM as usual.
6.As usual, if using Frosty too - as I do - do the usual deletion of the Patch file under SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Dragon Age Inquisition\Update and then rename the new Patchetcetcetc file (that pops up after Step 5) to just Patch.
    7.Install your Frosty mods.

(NB: The fourth and fifth images are a little misleading.  They're there to show the new defaults for the armour should you accept them in Step 3 above, and using Frosty (some people can, apparently!).  They do not actually show up in the game like that.  You need to make the changes before.)

    And play.

    Have fun.

BTW, the svartalfs were master craftsmen (craftselves?).  The mod author is no imposter. :)

Is there a text or excel file or something for what the passive abilities do?

I'm a bit confused by things like "157 bees" (I suspect this is the bow modification, but what would it do here?) or "167 hemo" (something about blood??). :)

You're getting a taste of what it is to author mods for this game! Most of the names are the actual file names - I didn't need to know what they did to put them in the mod, so I just put the links and the filenames.

Bees is a passive version of Jar of Bees grenade. :)
Hemo is.. I don't know what it is. :(

      Sorry.

If I want to have my mage armor and the Griffon Robes look like Vivienne's armor, and the old 'Golden Threads' recolor of her outfit for my formal, is it better to use your Live Like Whomever mod, this mod for the Griffon Robes, and this new Sv_Otherwear file here?  Or is it better to use a different pajamas to formal wear replacer?  I'm assuming your Live Like is much better than the much older Live Like Viv.

Okay, you made me fix the Otherwear mod, well done. I'd been meaning to do it for ages and ages.

If you use Live Like Whomever to switch HF Inquisitor to look like Vivienne, all your armours will look like Vivienne's appearance variant of whatever armour you wear.

If you use Golden Threads as well as Live Like Whomever ... something will definitely happen, it might even be what you want! I'm optimistic (please let me know).

If you want PJs to look like Viv's armour you can use Otherwear for that (fingers crossed, I didn't test every appearance).

Where THIS mod (Configurable Armour II) is concerned, I don't think you need to use this for anything that you asked for.

LOL.  There's nothing like asking what feels like a really stupid question and having the mod author go, "Oh, thanks for reminding me."  My eyes bugged out a little bit there.  And I laughed so hard I scared my cat at, "something will definitely happen"!  I'm imagining a super perky tone of voice there, but that's me.

Sorry it took so long to get back, health stuff.  Well, what happens from my testing is that Viv and my Inky both are wearing the Golden Threads version of her outfit.  Both in Skyhold and the Winter Palace.  Admittedly my testing was limited because something else was crashing the game when I tried to walk outside (any of the courtyards) of Skyhold, but without anything else it worked so ~shrugs~ yay?  Of course since then someone came out with a mashup that has all the bits I like from Viv's outfit so I don't have to have them wearing the same thing, but, hey, I can use it if I want.  Yay!

Hello. I use most of all of your mods, great work and thank you. This is a longshot question, but this particular mod Config Armour II has "suddenly" stopped working properly and completely. I can use it to augment recipes, but it no longer changes appearances or adds powers to the recipes,  Have you happenend to have encountered this at any point? Thanks in advance.

This can happen if you use a mod that affects Equip templates. One such mod is "remove class restrictions". If that's the case, the solution is to put this below that one in the load order so it overwrites one file from the other mod.

that makes sense. I read in one of your other readmes that renaming and putting "z" in front of the file title would load it last, is this still the case?
Thank you again, both for your work and quick reply

Yes that's right. For clarity: By default, the DAI modmanager (i.e. not Frosty) will sort the order of mods by .daimod FILE name (i.e. edit it in Windows™ File Explorer).

Hey Svarty! Thanks for all the amazing mods! (:

Just wondering - I had _45_medium_elf_dalish taking the place of a light armor schematic and was able to add light armor upgrades to it. I needed to make some changes to a different mod and had to reconfigure this one. Now I cannot get _45_medium_elf_dalish to register as a light armor schematic. Even if it replaces a standard Enchanter Coat, etc., it moves the light armor schematic into the medium armor tab when crafting.

I can respec with medium upgrades, just reporting that this happens and was wondering if you had a fix?

IIRC the crafting category (tab, as you describe it) doesn't matter because I removed the restriction on who can wear it. Is that right? It's been a while...

Yes, I can still wear the 'medium' armor despite the restriction to mages.

What I wanted to report is that I was previously able to use light armor upgrades on the crafted armor and I can no longer do that since the game now thinks the light armor Enchanter Coat is a medium armor piece, despite previously allowing me to use light armor upgrades.

Aha! Yes, eh ... that's awkward. sorry. I have a mod that lets you tweak upgrade appearances (I am becoming less and less confident in my mods doing what they say on the tin), would that solve this problem?

Yeah, it's a strange issue for sure!

For me, it was wanting to use particular cloth materials to get the desired effects on the armor upgrades. I can use medium armor upgrades, so it's not a problem for me to just proceed with those!

I use 3 of your mods and am super grateful that you've spent the time to maintain mods for a game from 2014 all the way into 2024. Super appreciative of your work, just wanted to report the issue in case anyone else encountered the same issue. :)

      Thanks again!

If you edit a light armour, you'll have access to light upgrades. etc. I think. It's been so long I've forgotten everything tbh.

      Happy new year!

Is there a way to save the edits so that everytime I add a new mod I do not have to redo the outfit configuration every time? Otherwise *fantastic* mod! One of my favorites.

Edit: Never mind just found the photos! This is the best!

Usually, you can keep most of the other mod's features by putting it above this one in the mod list.
