Hey, just wanted to throw a report that I ran into an issue with the newest version where sometimes when trying to loot things like bags, chests, etc. from a distance, I was getting a bug where I could no longer switch to other party members, neither in real time or tactical mode. Saving and reloading fixes the bug but it always comes back quickly. Granted I have a sizeable mod list and didn't do super intensive troubleshooting, I don't have any mods that directly change chests/bags and I did narrow down the issue to this mod. Reverting back to version 2.0 has resolved the issue completely. That is, the no search radius increase version.
Anyways, also wanted to say that I love this mod. I got sick of the looting animation rather quickly when I first started playing the game and your mod is 10/10 QOL. Thanks a lot for your diligence trying to iron out bugs and updating!
Wow, you named this mod right. I can now finally not only loot without the animation but also barely have to stop to do so. Thank you so much for making and sharing this must have mod. Endorsed!!

Oh honestly I'm being so freaking real. I'm not a frequent commenter despite the length of these hdfjsfhj. These kinds of mods are what make one of my favorite games just never ending fun. Like if I didn't think Nexus would axe my comment for profanity I'd have a lot more words for you dkjflsfs) but the point is, I barely found anything even in the hours I did play before dropping off. I did write down another infinite obsidian bug in the Emerald Graves. And Emprise Du Lion wasn't quite as consistent with the distance? I tried to keep track but it was a little random I wasn't convinced I wasn't imagining it lmao (honestly i feel like Emprise is a bug fest all the time so who blames you if you're like No Thanks Not Fixing. Certainly not me)

Not a mod as incredible as this one. Feels insulting like instead I need a freaking A+ gold star tab for every time I happily pick up elfroot from a distance. Nexus, get on it already. This mod is SUCH a gamechanger. This + Passive Search Highlight make exploring and looting SO much easier. I've found several chests and containers I never spotted before thanks to PSH and this one saves SO much time running around collecting plants and metals. I may just skip the Inquisition perk that multiplies your plant harvests, since it apparently causes the speed boost issue. I get way more plants than normal as it is because this mod makes it so much easier to grab them all in an area without spending ages running around hunting for them. This mod is definitely one of the reasons I don't think I can go back to playing DAI on console!
Do you have this issue when loading the game with just my mod? When I was using a mod to increase movement speed alongside my mod I had exactly the same problem, sometimes they don't respond well to remapped keys. If it's not a movement speed mod, it's worth checking if your run/sprint key is the same as your interact key. If none of that fixes it lmk and I'll have another look! (Edit: forgot to mention that this wasn't an issue in any tests i did)
The issue persists with just your mod installed so that is the culprit. My sprint and interaction keybinds are separate, but if it helps, I use mouse to interact with herbs. My playstyle relies around running to the herb without stopping and just picking it up and keeping moving, that is when it bugs out and I gain sudden boost of speed.
I still couldn't replicate it using your (admittedly tricky) playstyle so I don't know what's causing the issue. You're more than welcome to take a look at the project file with frosty editor in case I've missed something, but as I've been doing this less than a week I'm out of my depth with this one lol. Sorry about that!
My modding skills are practically nonexistent so I won't be able to do anything by myself, but I wonder, what monitor display hz do you use? I've to investigate further if it could be related to my 280hz monitor as I know too much hz and fps can cause havoc in some games.
I can report the same issue. Weirdly, I played two days without this bug happening and then it just did out of nowhere. I didn't add any particular mod in between, and when I did the bug didn't manifest at all. I even tried to disable, launch, save and then exit and enable again, but the speed increase is still there now. It's only for herbs, nothing else. I play on controller if that matters, but as I said it was working perfectly fine before!
Here to report the same thing - I was using this mod perfectly for a few days without any issues, and just tonight it started. Happens if I collect the herbs while running past without stopping, then there's a little *nyoom* of speed afterwards. Otherwise everything seems to be working as designed (using mouse + keyboard controls fyi).
Something just occurred to me. This mod was working normally for 50-something hours, and then I got this bug out of nowhere. I did just pick up the Inquisition perk that gives you more resources for plants. Could that have something to do with it?
That seems like the most likely reason so far, I've honestly just been waiting for someone with more knowledge than me to help me fix it :') but a multiplier would make the most sense? I'll keep this in mind and hopefully I'll figure it out in future updates lol
I can confirm I have the same issue and it started when I got the multiplier. Just to help solidify the case. I LOVE this mod, so trying to ignore the "jumping". LOL
Just wanted to pop in and say this mod has made my new playthrough SO wonderful. It really cuts down on time spent doing boring gathering, and the longer highlight time is fantastic for my ADHD ass. I'm excited for the update to fix blue vitriol and obsidian!
