Hi! I am really interested in this mod but ive been having troubles with vortex to add the mod, is there other ways to install it? Aside from Frosty?

This mod was made with frosty in mind, unfortunately. I have no idea how vortex even works to be honest - Ive never looked into it. I will say frosty is pretty user intuitive if you follow the instructions on install!

I tried to add this mod to a pre existing save file, and when I loaded my save, my characters appearance had drastically changed.

Paler skin tone + new hair. Weirdly, her old appearance is still visible in the character/armour appearance menu? its just in game she looks like a completely different character.

any idea why ? I'm going to disable this mod for now, but if anyone has any ideas on why this is happening or how to fix it please lmk. I really wanted to try experimenting w different haircuts for my girl.

I've had that bug in the vanilla game before - reloading fixes it for me. You can also go into edit mode in the mirror and it should snap back to normal.

Would it be possible to make this compatible with Hornless Qunari and Other Cross Race Options?

Hi! I spoke briefly to the author and they mentioned hearing from someone who already got our mods to play nice together! I would try using the mods together with a load order putting mine first, then trying mine second if the first option doesnt work.

If that doesnt work please let me know - I can ask and see if we can make them compatible but unfortunately compatibility between mods like this can get complicated if I am understanding their mod correctly.

Thanks a bunch for replying to me. I did try both arrangements: with yours first, I did not have access to all of the hair options. With Hornless Qunari first, I had access to the hair options from your mod, but I lost the ability to morph my head with other race options. I appreciate your willingness to look into this at all, but I understand, of course, if nothing can be done about it.

Perhaps you could upload your project file so I could try to make the changes made by Hornless Qunari myself and integrate them with the ones your mod makes? There are just so many different parameters/variables in Frosty Editor that I can't find the right values to change.

Hmmm okay I think at this moment the best thing would be to make a character with the hair you want then turn off QunariCuts and launch with the hornless mod and make the apropriate adjustments. Once the hair is applied to the qunari character the mod itself can be turned off unless the hair is to be changed again as rook's appearance file now is generated with that hair being called for. You might be able to work vice versa as well, but I am positive the first method would work.

      Hopefully that helps!

Hi! Sorry for the wait - I am not sure what you mean? If you are talking about the final patch for the game, I have yet to hear anyone say it doesn't work. I stepped away some from DAV to replay the other games but if something has changed that made this mod not work, I can certainly take a look.

I was curious about the compatibility of this mod with the NPCs hair mod, I have the bundles for that mod to be compatible if needed but I wasn't sure if I needed any bundles for this one or if it's simply an issue or loading order in Frosty mod Manager, any help would definitely be appreciated

If you look at the screenshots, there are a few examples from other users getting them to play nice - so as far as I know they work together!

Hiyo! Coming a bit late I know, sorry

Would it be possible to do the opposite? I love the very long Qunari hairstyle but I don't really like playing with this race (I'm an elven girlie I am afraid) how difficult would it be to have it on other races? It would look so cool for a warrior :)

Hi! Unfortunately the opposite would result in a massive receding hairline where the horns are meant to go and are missing on every other background. If thats a look you want I could do it but unfortunately it might not be exactly what you expect given it generally looks like they are balding lol

This mod crashes my game whenever I go to the mirror to edit appearance or start a new game and am about to create a character. I have patch 4 installed and I'm using the Alpha5v2 Frosty MM. Any idea whats wrong?

Hi! I am not currently experiencing this issue on my PC, have you tried deleting your mod data out of the veilguard install? Outside of that I would try loading just this mod alone and see if perhaps there is some conflict I don't know about?

Sorry I can't be of more help!

hey i actually had the same issue when i had the swap library installed! i couldn't open the mirror or my character menu when i had swap library and any mods dependent on em. Maybe that might be your issue?

Not sure! This hair doesnt actually swap anything - it just creates new entries in the cc for hair and designates them for qunari, so it would be odd that the swap library would do anything. I have it installed in my game as well as the isabela armor replacer and it hasn't affected my game. Glad you got it working though!

I just deleted the Mod Data folder and removed the 4 mods I had installed from the Frosty manager and only installed this one and yep, can confirm this is the one that's crashing my game, I get a CTD soon as I use the mirror. :( So sad cause this is the most important mod for my Qunari playthrough

Hi! I just tested this again in my game and asked a few people to do the same with both a new character and an existing qunari character. I also tried it on several different graphical settings but I cant seem to replicate the issue, nor can anyone else. The only other thing I can think of is to make sure all of your drivers are fully updated - Sorry I don't have a full answer ready! Also what might help is a full clean reinstall of the modmanager using this guide - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1F6X8fjh6RS_IHX7cqx36lyhCEpLPZSYknki-M28w_K0/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.kvak42tu0v94

I did update the drivers, sadly I still have this issue. It's so weird to me cause all of the other mods I tried worked just fine and that link you sent is exactly how I installed Frosty. But thanks for this mod and the assistance anyway, I think I'll hold off playing the game until the next patch to see if that fixes it for me, that's how badly I want this mod in the game for my Qunari mage, its essential lol.

Same here. I even run this mod by itself and it still crashes the game. I've been wanting to play as a Qunari since this mod came out and I have no luck with it at all. I know I can easily just play without the mod but the hair is also essential to me man.

Hey I am really sorry you both are having this issue, but unfortunately I have had well over ten people test it including myself plus everyone here having had it work - If I could recreate it I would be able to do more but at this point I am a little baffled at what is going on, sorry!

I added this mod and then later got on my human mage and wanted to change her hairstyle, a few hairstyles are now missing. This is the only hair mod I have. The really long straight hair and the shorter version of it are gone. Any ideas other than removing the mod to get it back?

Generally its recommended to uncheck mods in your loadout when you arent currently using them, so honestly thats just the easiest way to do it and best practice when modding! Also - taking this mod out of the load wont stop whatever hair youre using from working - you only need it active when you want to change the hair of your qunari to something else.

Hi! Great mod! You may know this already but it appears to not be compatible with Padme's CC Expanded. This is not a complaint by any means, I just wanted to post this in case anyone else gets confused as to why it's not working for them. For me, disabling the CC Expanded mod and the dependent mods made it so this mod works perfectly. Thank you for making this!

Ah! Okay thank you, I was not aware of that! I don't use that particular mod but it makes sense as they modify the same file. Added to the description!

I noticed this to but both mods keep working without being active so you can pick a hairstyle and then uninstall this mod and then use cc expantion.
