This seems quite handy to reduce grinding, but I just wanted to check before using it as to whether anything can be missed by ranking companions up TOO quickly? I know in some games like this (including at least one previous DA game, off the top of my head), certain conversations would only trigger in certain approval ranges, and if you outleveled them you could miss conversations and the like.
Love the mod! I think they're might be an issue with Neve's approval with the newest version. It doesn't seem to get above 2. I also deleted and installed the older version and it seemed to "fix" the problem (sorry Bellara)
I checked the files that that mod edited versus this one, and they should work fine together. No overlap in edited files, so, barring something unpredictable, you should be good.
Probably needs a new playthrough to work smoothly. It should go up at the first positive approval from each companion. Not seeing anything in the file itself that would cause any issues.
It is a new playthrough. All the other companions worked fine. Not sure why emmrich only insta to 9 instead of 10. I just level it up as I went normally. The others were instant 10. Thank you for all your work!
I'm done with requests, sorry. I just have other things to work on right now. But, I have the project files for each version posted for people who want to learn to how to do it themselves. It would just require them to get the modding tool and cross referencing the changes in the different versions to figure out the numbers.
Is anyone else having a problem where one companion's approval is stuck at 2? In my case it's Bellara. I've been bringing her along constantly but for some reason it won't budge. I've known Davrin for ten minutes and he's already at a 5 but Belllara won't budge. Guess Harding wins.
Yeah, that was an oopsie. Had a value set at 5000 instead of 500. I'm sorry about that, it must have been annoying. I just double checked all the numbers, and that was the only missed one. I just posted the fixed version. And thanks for letting me know!
If so, instead of a x2 multiplier, would a version that just increases companion bond by 50% (1.5x) be possible?
Idk how this mod works, if it's editing the *sources* of bond increases or if it's just cutting the *required amount* of bond to increase the level? If it's the latter, then cutting the required amount by 25% would have the same effect as a 1.5x multiplier in essence.
Just posted it. I was worried skill points wouldn't reward properly, so I tested it. As long as you start a new playthrough, it seems to work just fine.
This works but should be used on a fresh playthrough, as it does not provide skill points for new levels gained due to the changed thresholds (e.g., a companion that went from 2 pre-mod to 4 post-mod does not get the skill points that would have unlocked at turning levels 3 and 4).
Ah, I was trying to figure this out. Just applied mod about halfway through playthrough, everyone jumped levels after a big event, but none got skill points. ... so going to have to remove mod and replay that section I guess to get the full points.

Would this mod conflicts with another that gives u more skill points per companion level?
thanks for the mod. any chance for an x4 version?
Have a good day!
I'm using the 2x file BTW.
I uninstalled it and she popped up to 4.
Wait, does this mean that 1696 people don't care about Bellara?
