About this mod

This mod simply put is a Variation of "Saiyan Struggle" by gladias9 and a posting for mods that work well with it, I also wanted to Highlight some files and directories within paks, uassets, and other files that are easy to customize for accessibility should anyone like to make their own difficulty or adjustments to certain features

First and Foremost Saiyan Struggle is EXTREMELY CHALLENGING at times, and has some issues that are a little inconsistent, certain things will literally be impossible and feel helpless (RR heal bots and units that call reinforcements need to be hard focused and killed fast) and there are some bugs (listed under known issues), for that reason it makes plenty of sense to take this off when necessary, but this mod-pack I have made is more or less to make this experience a little easier in some ways and harder in others while allowing more prolonged and fast-paced fights that feel rewarding to conquer after the time and effort put in

Hence the name - Saiyan Pride

If you're requesting a change to the mod please be specific so I know how much of a change you'd like, ex. "I'd like a version with 4x damage" or "I'd like a mod without the AI adjustments"

If there's a number involved please state how much of a change you'd like, and if not just remember I need as many details about your request in order to provide a change for you

PLEASE NOTE

Not all DLC enemies are very well structured and some may not be affected

There may also be some newer/unrelated issues with AI in DLC 3, 18 and 17 often just stopped moving and a loud horrednous thud sound would happen when they went idle, they will also sometimes just evade you constantly, it's extremely annoying because they even start teleporting as if that's the skill they chose to spam, unfortunately taking off the mod just makes it less often, so it seems like an issue with the game

I've heard DLC 6 issues but have no clue what they entail and will not be able to test any Season Pass 2 DLC (4-6)

I would just recommend "No AI" for when playing DLC 3-6 but I'm not sure if Beerus/Whis are messed up, I will test this soon once I finish the campaign and report any issues

(I've nearly finished the game and have powered my way through certain fights, and then leveled up and came back to others

So far I've only taken off the mod 2-3 times,

The first at the beginning of the game for the Eigther side mission

The second I remember and just did recently was after the Trunks DLC, for both side missions because they are big fights with way too many fodder, I'd rather not over level for this nonsense

There might have been 1 I forgot about but for some fights that were otherwise too difficult or just too many people I would heal a lot more depending on the circumstance

I try not to heal spam because I'm on 3x damage taken and it just defeats the point but some fights I just have alot less of a choice (usually only 1v3's or more)

Changes -

I'm a firm believer that the fights in DBZ Kakarot are way too short, so I've used the damage values from Gantz79's "Very Hard" Mode but it is redundant here so do not install both I've adjusted the damage dealt and received on all difficulties which are subject to change and I will likely make any version that is requested; as of now damage dealt is 50% less for prolonged and intense fights damage received is 1x on EASY 1.5x on Normal 2x on HARD for a challenge that isn't too ridiculous since enemies will likely not stop attacking, if you'd like something different just ask in posts :> or look for my Info sheet

For reference Vanilla Difficulties; without any mods:

Easy: 70% dmg taken, 1.3x dmg dealt (1.5x stun)
Normal: 1x dmg taken, 1x dmg dealt
Hard: 2.5x dmg taken, 1x dmg dealt

After using the mod for a day or 2 I realized the opportunity to land enough Stun attacks is relatively low when being pressured and combo canceled so much
to remedy this all versions after 1.3 have 50% MORE stun damage dealt, if you'd like a version without this please use 1.2 or 1.1 and install "Ultra Support Characters" separately

"Support" Versions will have "Ultra Support Characters" Included and should not be combined with their mod

(no other changes are made to the base files everything else is the same as Saiyan Struggle)

Recommended Mods -

gladius9's "All Skills Combo Cancel" - as one of the posts stated "wouldn't this make the game easier?" then they replied "nvm" trust that this will help if working as intended because you will need to be as fast as possible and will likely still need to git gud

Gantz79's "Ultra Support Characters" - this mod is included in the "Support" versions, all other versions just require you install this separately

Use the "No Buff" version of their mod, or else you will be immortal.  Allies will attack with you in almost every instance and defend you alot more often, very helpful in group fights, but a lil OP when doing combo's (even if it is satisfying)

Doubs' "No Support Cutscenes" - you'll likely need to rely on support a lot more often, especially solar flare.  Adding this mod makes up for all the time you'll spend staring at Krillin's face while he's clenching his cheeks

Doubs' "Faster Transformations" - Things will already be very tense and charging Ki is difficult enough as it is, so having a few extra frames after transforming will be very helpful (there is a visual difference so don't use it if you prefer the vanilla animation/effect)

Personal Preference Mods

These are all installed for me but I hardly use the features, it's more or less so I have the option or just disabling things to force myself into more fights (no z orbs)

Gantz79's "Ultra Shenron" - for when you want a shortcut

Gantz79's "Ultra Meal Permanent Variation Status Boost" - same reason ^

Gantz79's "Super Growth Senzu Beans" - why not right? lol (ok maybe this one is OP heh)

Gantz79's "Free Training" - to avoid exploration if preferred

Gantz79's "Free Cooking" - what's the wife of a Saiyan without magical food powers? (to avoid unwanted grinding)

Gantz79's "Remove Airways of Maps" - only use this if you're using this > MrJP1's "Faster Flying and Nimbus Speed"  or Gantz79's "Ultrafast and Fast Run"
(I just prefer default run speed for precision on the ground)

Gantz79's "Remove Z Orbs of Maps" - to disable all video game map elements and force myself to fight for Z orbs

I'm using a handful of other mods that are cosmetic and don't affect balance or gameplay, I'm happy to list them but they don't alter stats in any way, feel free to ask in posts (I'll add an Info Sheet after testing and tweaking some more)

Known Issues

  • Teleports that happen suddenly during certain attacks, and incorrect angles when using teleport attacks (very inconsistent and only mildly common)

  • Inconsistent AI, some enemies will use attacks when they'd otherwise make no sense (punching air or using beams while being combo'd) it's helpful for the unpredictable gameplay, but will make some enemies seem stupid once in a while (main dummy I've seen is Krillin LMAO he punched the air ALOT) likely enemies with less attacks will demonstrate this more

  • Certain recruitment and healing enemies no longer have a cooldown and pose a massive threat, luckily it's not always an issue when you encounter one but this can make certain side missions impossible, since there's no telling how many will self multiply and how fast (1 mission that I saw was impossible is the Eighter side mission before Raditz)

Installation

Same as most mods posted, extract the pak file and place it in your ~mods folder

AT\Content\Paks\~mods

If you do not yet have a ~mods folder simply make one

Thanks a Million -

Huge thanks to Gantz79 for replying so frequently while I was trying to get started and providing so many QOL mods

Thank you again to gladias9 for Saiyan Struggle, hell of a mod even if it has it's rough edges

- I've reached out and will likely attempt to collaborate should they update their mod in any way

P.S. I've enabled Donations but don't expect to receive any, I'd love to support my mom by doing this but I know I'm in no position to expect anything other than random kindness, hope I can find a way to do something like this for a living but I imagine this isn't the worst or best way to start 😂

I feel like asking for donations will always be justified for mods considering how ridiculous some modders paywalls are (like for a reshade?) and how much AAA devs make for bare minimum work sometimes, thanks to anyone for understanding at least and I'm hopping to become an active member of some modding community :>
