hello dear mike, im in heliodor and at the weapon shop is a purchable item called "illegal item" and the sprite is just a stick. did i do something wrong or is that intended?
So, when I hit the tockington event, all the gear that came from this mod got deleted from my inventory, and for some reason, Erik's gear got entirely unequipped (he was the only one with gear from this mod equipped at the time).
Edit: Okay, down at the bottom I found this:
0.2.8+: All added items (those listed under "New Equipment" above) have a sellable value. Thus, they can be sold before entering 2D mode such that they can be repurchased upon re-entering 3D mode.
It would be nice if this was more visible, and explicitly called out tockington as part of 2D mode. While obvious in retrospect, it is not something that is immediately considered before you enter. Anyway, the next part remains an issue:
Also, the shields from this mod remain visible when not in combat, which makes certain scenes where the Luminary is doing actions involving his left hand more than a little weird or awkward.
Hmm, I don't know then. I know that is how they are supposed to work.
Some of them you should still be able to purchase from the original vendor, if you know where they are. But I would not bother before you are 100% done with Tockington, as you will have this issue if you reenter again later.
You are done with Tockington when you have done all the books. Which, well, you can't collect the final Pastword until the post-game, you have to clear the final boss first.
Or, you can choose to ignore it. Tockington gives you two things of note: Some amusing little side quests with a short storyline, and a challenge fight after all else is done. There's nothing there you have to do, so it depends on how much you are enjoying Tockington.
I didn't. I had failed to read the warning correctly and lost the items I had bought. My advice in this thread is based on the details I read after I made that mistake.
But I hadn't bought anything that I couldn't replace by going to the original vendor, like the merchant in the jungle between the starting town and the back access to the castle for two of Erik's boomerangs.
After understanding the way this mod works, I decided to not use it until I was done with Tockington. So I uninstalled it, finished the game and got my post-game save file, finished the Tockington quests, and then reloaded the mod.
Wow, really great work! The items blended in so seamlessly that I didn't even realize I was using the new items. I actually came here to complain thinking it was broken, ha
thank you so much! the store icon is not showing in my game hence my confusion. i wanted to say i really am loving the mod. i am looking more at the special effects of the weapons then the raw stats. something i have never done in te game on any difficulty.
this fucked up my platythrough. i should have read that the description more thoroughly because i have a bunch of items for crafting the Supreme sword of light just to find your mod replaces it entirely. that's what i get for installing this on a first playthrough ffs. is there anyway to revert it to the regular supreme sword of light??
That will revert the model (appearance) to the original Supreme Sword. The name will remain "Dragovian King Sword" unless you revert it, but it's functionally the same as far as the game is concerned. You'll still be able to play through Act 3 and it's obtained the exact same way.
If you'd rather uninstall the mod, sell all the Ultimate Equipment (obtained from this mod) that you have first, and then remove this mod's .pak file.

At one point, I had aimed to make all the 'replacement' equipment into their own new slots, including the Sword of Light(s) / Dragovian Sword(s) (restoring the SoL and making DKS a new sword that would be obtained via forge). At the end of the day, I had a LOT of different mods to work on (including new projects long since) so it's just never happened. There's a lot of extra time that's required to add new item slots vs a replacement.
Rather than repeat myself, I'll just quote from earlier responses:
This mod was originally developed (pre-v0.1.3) with a small number of weapon replacements. This meant that the existing item ID's for weapons were repurposed for new ones.
Later on, I learned how to create entirely new ID's, make those work with the forge, etc. Some of the weapons originally assigned as replacements were changed to entirely new ID's after this point, but there were also some downsides to assigning new ID's (chiefly: more work required overall to do so), so not every piece of equipment was changed to a new ID.
(Separating the Sword of Light and Dragovian Sword) is definitely on my roadmap (and it is a common request), my goal was to have this done as part of 0.3.1 .
I've since come onto other projects, so I'm not sure when I would have the time to come back and make adjustments to this mod.

You can buy any items back from the original shop you bought it from as listed on the Description tab. Has nothing to do with where you sold it.
I also recommend waiting to use the mod until you are done with Tickington, as most equipment is intended for late Act 3 anyway.
Sword of Succor- Costs 235000 gold from Lonalulu Pearl Shop (Act 3)
